Palm Valley Golf Club
Played On 01/09/2022Fun Practice Course
Golf course is not in the best shape, some greens and tee boxes are sandy and the overall conditions are not the best. However, that doesn’t matter, this course is fun to practice your short game on and to bring your kids to. The driving range is great and the putting and chipping areas are fantastic. The staff are great and the overall vibes of the place is great, everyone there either playing, practicing, or working are all there for a good time. It is cheap to play and has a fun layout. All holes are straight and short with some water. Overall a great place to play.
Cimarrone Golf Club
Played On 01/07/2022A Lot of Water
This course was extremely fun to play, the layout was difficult and with great conditions, it equaled a great golf course. There is water on all 18 holes of golf and well placed bunkers near almost every green. The distance is far, 6,700 from the back and 4,700 from the front. Overall a great golf course to play.
Hidden Hills Golf Course
Played On 01/01/2022Fun Course With a Challenging Layout
This is a great course, the conditions are fantastic, some areas need improvement to become a 5 star course in my eyes. For the money the practice areas and the course itself is a great value. Their are hills and trees along with water on almost every hole. It is fun to play and a little challenging, but in a good way. From the back tees it plays around 6,800 and from the front it plays 5,200 so it’s perfect for everyone. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The pace of play was a little slow, but I did play on a weekend so, can’t really complain. Overall a great public course to play in Jacksonville.
Thanks so much for your wonderful review. We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your time with us. Please visit again soon for a 5-star round. Thanks for choosing Hidden Hills Golf Course!
Hidden Lakes Golf Course
Played On 09/24/2022Great course for a quick weekend round
This is a great course to play on the weekend when you only have a couple of hours, it is short and extremely fun. The layout is challenging with a lot of water and well placed bunkers. The greens were slow but playable. The tee boxes and the fairways were excellent.
Paid a total of $25 to play here on a Saturday and was a great deal. Would definitely play here again and definitely recommend it.
Hilaman Park Municipal Golf Course
Played On 07/16/2021Great Muni for only $23
This course is always fun to play. The conditions are great, tee boxes are nice, fairways are nice, and the greens roll really nice but with some rough spots. The course has a lot of hills which make some holes easy and some holes feel extremely long. From the tips it only plays 6300 and from the front around 4300. On the front number 4 has water but the back nine is where water really comes into play. The putting green and driving range are nice. The clubhouse and pro shop are great. Overall a fun muni to play, especially since all the other courses in the Tallahassee area will cost you around 50 a person. I have played here multiple times and will come back.
Blue Cypress Golf Club
Played On 06/10/2021Great greeens, fantastic rates
This course is doing really well after the reopening. It is a good course with a nice range and practice green. The pro shop is nice and has a wide selection of snacks and drinks. The rates are fantastic, people 18 and under play free and the normal 18 rate is only 20 dollars (at least it was when I played). The course itself is nice, the greens are in good shape and the fairways are okay, some rough areas. The tees are sandy but playable. The course deserves more of a 3.5 star rating overall. The course itself is not hard, mostly straight with little water, there is a lot of trees but bunkers are scarce. It is a short course with the tips being 5800 for 18. Overall might play again if I’m in the area.
Rolling Greens Executive Golf Course
Played On 05/30/2021Fun executive course!
This is a typical executive course. Each hole is straight, has a very small green, and has some hills. The conditions are fantastic, greens are nice and green, cutting them a little shorter would help make them faster, tee boxes are lush, and the fairways are, for the most part, nice and full. Very nice course especially for the price that I paid, $14 per person. Would definitely come back to practice under 200 clubs. There is no range, but there is a putting/chipping green and there are three nets that you can hit into. The clubhouse is nice and the pro shop has everything you need, would play again.
Royal Oaks Golf Club
Played On 05/22/2021Good course but nothing special.
A very nice course, the tee boxes play well, the fairways are cut well, and the greens are amazing they are cut low so they roll really fast. The clubhouse and pro shop are great. The putting green is big. The driving range is no where here the course, it is down the street a mile. The course itself is not very challenging. Only two holes have water (17 and 18) the rest are tree lined and have well placed bunkers. There are a wide range of yardages from 6400 to 4990. Overall a course that is well worth playing and I had a great time playing and I think you will too.
Turkey Creek Golf Course
Played On 05/08/2021Will be great after a rainy summer.
The course has recently opened back up and is in great shape for a fully volunteer run course. The greens roll nice, the fairways are nice and green. With nice tee boxes. The course itself is challenging, narrow fairways, well placed water, and good hills. The practice facility is great. The reason I give it a three is because some spots aren't great. There are dead spots in the fairway. The forward tee boxes have dirt spots. In a couple of months when the grass has fully grown back and the sprinklers do their jobs it should become a five star course (will update review later).
The Spruce Creek Preserve Golf Club
Played On 07/11/2021Okay Course But Don’t Pay Over $20 a Person
The course is not in perfect shape, there are rough spots, however around 12/18 greens roll nicely and are in good shape. Probably 10/18 tee boxes are nice. Don’t go off the fairway though because you’ll be stuff in high rough or in crabgrass. The course itself is not very difficult, pretty straight forward holes with two holes having water. The back tees (green) play from 6500 with almost every par 4 being around 360, so the course is not very long. They have a small putting green and driving range and a restaurant. Overall not a horrible place to play a round, but in the Ocala area they are better places to play.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting The Spruce Creek Preserve Golf Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Lake Diamond Golf & Country Club
Played On 07/11/2020Good Value
In all honestly the course deserves 3.5 stars but Yelp won't let me put that. The reason I gave 3 stars instead of 4 was because of the service. Some members of the staff were nice, but some seemed like they had a long day and were a little tired and it affected their customer service. The course has a good range from the forward kids tees to the back tees. The fairways and tee boxes are very nice. The greens are a little slow and could use some work. All the summer rain should help. The front and back nines are very different. The front nine plays with wide open fairways with one hole having water. There are some young pine trees but nothing to really worry about. The back nine is tree lined and there is a significant amount of water from holes 10- 14. The pro shop is basic but nice. There is a bathroom on the course and water station on each nine. I payed a good rate of 42 dollars with a GroupGolfer deal online. It included 18 holes, a cart, and a small bucket of range balls. But everyday rates are around 28 dollars with some special deals going as low as 14 dollars. Overall a fun course that I will defiantly play again.
Thanks for the 4-stars and feedback!
