Nice course, especially in the fall

My dad and I played White Pine as our final round of the year and it was a great experience. We've played White Pine in the past and it's never disappointed. It's a scenic course that offers a fair, but challenging round of golf. Even though it was very late in the season, the course was in great condition. The course was mostly clear of leaves and pine needles and while the greens had been aerated, they still rolled true. The staff at the course was minimal (obvious for the time of year), but were still very helpful and friendly. We practically had the course to ourselves, so there was no problem with the pace of play. In addition, with the Hot Deal and promo we got from Golf Now, it was an excellent value for the quality of course being played. Overall, I would highly recommend White Pine to anyone looking for a fun, but challenging course with some nice scenic views.

Good way to end they season

My dad and I played the Serradella course, the oldest and probably easiest of the Lakewood Shores courses. The course was in pretty good shape for it being so late in the season. The greens were nice (and not aerated yet, which is a plus) and the fairways were nice and clear of leaves. The rough was a bit long and there was a few spots that needed some work, but otherwise it was good. It's tough to give the facilities a grade because they are catered more towards the resort crowd and they were basically shut down for the year, but they always look well kept so hence that grade. We didn't eat so no grade on the food. The minimal staff was friendly and helpful as always. We got a good deal on GolfNow and if you come on a resort package it's a great place to play, but it's a little pricey if you just come to play normally. Try to get a deal or a package if you come to play. Overall, another great experience at Lakewood Shores.

FYI: The Gailes and Blackshire courses, which are not reviewed here, are great courses as well.

Great Value, with a few small drawbacks

My dad and I played this course last year and it was in terrible shape. I'm happy to report that it's very much improved now. The fairways and greens are in very good shape for the most part, there are a few that still need a little work. The rough can be pretty long in some places and still has quite a few weeds. The tee boxes on most holes are being rebuilt, so you have to account for that. The holes are marked better this time around so you don't find yourself playing the wrong hole like we did multiple times last year. The facilities and staff are very helpful and friendly. We did not eat at the restaurant, therefore, no grade. For the price that we got, the value was excellent.

FYI, the green on number 10 is brutally unfair, you have been warned.
