Riverstone Golf & Country Club - Long
Played On 10/08/2017Accuracy and short irons
Course is in excellent condition. Staff are extremely friendly. There were few players when I played so the pace of play was excellent. However, the course is short in today's standard. All par 3s are less than 150 yards from blue. Par 5's are all doglegs with tight fairways so almost no driver off the tee. I did enjoy the nice surroundings and a good round to practice short irons and woods/hybrids.
Pickering Golf Club
Played On 06/04/2016Rude pro shop staff and marshall
Pro shop old guy was extremely rude. Marshall wanted me to get off my cart and share a cart with a stranger which I refused! The course has the strangest layout with some par 4 at 275 yards and a par 3 @ 215 yards. 1 par 4 has complete blind shots. Big pile of dirt (ground in repair) in the middle of the par 5 fairway. I used my driver twice. This is More like a long executive course. The group in front of us had 6 people! Marshall did nothing about it. I wonder if his job was course Marshall or golf cart Marshall. Last time I play this course.
Rolling Hills Golf Club - Challenge
Played On 11/15/2015short and sweat
Par 3 and 4 are short but surprisingly there are four par 5s that are 450 yds which can be played as par 4 in a championship course. One should know about the as the length, course rating and slope ratings are posted on GN and course website. The pace is slower but I managed to finish 18 in 4 hrs. Tee box are close to each other but tee, fairway and greens are in ok shape. Fairway are wide open, you can choose to drive the par 4 or practice your long/mid irons. No complain for around 17 bucks 18 holes walking rate if you book through GN.
