This is one of my favorite courses and the staff has worked hard to bring it back into good condition. Fairways were in really good shape, bunkers were the best I have seen in a long time and the greens were rolling nice and smooth.

Did an afternoon round and wow what great views and elevation changes. Best mountain course that I have played in years. Course is tough but fair and the greens were sandy with some bare patches on the greens but the views made it worth the price of admission.

Greens where better than expected and most of the fairways were still OK but showed areas of winter kill.

Fairways were dormant Bermuda but in good shape for Fall/winter play, very open and wide enough to be forgiving and challenging. The greens were mini verde in good shape for true rolls but were hard so backspin was minimal. Good layout, occasional nice views and easy to find.

The PGA senior tour played this back nine just a few weeks ago as part of their Greater Hickory Open. What a great layout and plenty of challenging shots to make par. The greens were in great shape and very fast but true. I liked the hills and drops in elevation, some as much as 40 yards made it a real challenge. Plenty of nice views too.

The tight fairways made the rough a factor and they were not consistent in length & condition. Very much a shot makers course with slope and hillside conditions.
