Desert Canyon Golf Club
Played On 02/22/2022Beautiful course with wonderful views
This is a very nice course. Not overly challenging but certainly enough to keep your interest up. Not overly tight but don’t push or pull your shots too much.
Played the front in an hour, fourth five minutes. The back got a bit slower….still got done in four hours ten minutes.
Big greens, so it was nice to have GPS that read yardage to the pin.
Good value for the money.
Dobson Ranch Golf Course
Played On 02/21/2020Fun day
I golfed real early in the morning with three ladies from Canada. You might think it played slow but you would be wrong. They weren't great players but they played quickly and it was an enjoyable day. We got done in just over 4 hours, which is way better then most courses I have played in the Phoenix Mesa area.
The course was wide open and in good shape, so it played relatively easy. The greens were in pretty good shape and had some slope in them but were constituent and readable.
On the 15th hole, one of the course staff came out and greet us with fresh chocolate cookies and asked us how we found the course and greens. That's a first. What a novel idea.
It was a fun track and fun day.

Very interesting course. Front is open with water around for errant shots. The Back is much more scenic and a little tighter. Although I didn't hit an bunkers my playing partners did and complained about the large stones in the bunkers.
The course was in good shape. The Greens were just about the perfect speed but there wasn't a straight putt on any of the greens we played. Hard to read but fair.
Yes I would play this course again.
Las Sendas Golf Club
Played On 02/17/2018Not to be missed
I have heard a lot of good things about Las Sendas and it's all true. The course was in excellent shape. The weather was extremely cool for the first 5 or 6 holes but got better as the day went on. It's a real challenge with extremely fast, hard greens with lot's of slope. Would shoot better the second time around. It was a great day. I definitely will return. Our starter was a hoot.

This course is showing it's age. The greens were OK but the rest of the course is in pretty poor shape. Lot's of bare spots in both the rough and fairways.
Pace of play was slow to begin with but picked up as we went along. People working the course were nice and helpful.
I can't recommend that you spend your money here.
Red Mountain Ranch Country Club
Played On 02/06/2018Needs work
I understand that that lack of rain has hurt many of the courses in the area but even the watered fairways were thin and lacking. The bunkers weren't real consistent either.
I love the challenge Pete Dye brings to his designs. I like the place. As with most tracks the more you play them the more comfortable you are there.
Red Mountain Ranch Country Club
Played On 02/06/2018Pete Dye is always a challenge
I have played Red Mountian a few times three years ago and again last week. Dye's courses are always interesting to say the least. Compared to three years ago, the course wasn't in as good a condition. I suspect that the dry weather had something to do with that. The weather was almost perfect making it a great day.
One thing that was a little bothersome was the condition of the traps. They were inconsistent...some had a good deal of sand, some not so much. Good golfers don't hit it in the sand. Ha!
Thank you for the review! Thank you for pointing out an issues regarding the bunkers, we will take a closer look and see if there is something we can do regarding the rocks in the greens.
