I really enjoy playing this hidden gem. The course balances plenty of challenge with a very playable set of holes. If you have not tried it splurge a bit and try it out.

Spent today playing 18 on this beautiful course. Really like the layout and the challenges to the course. I will definitely be back when I come to visit my daughter in Raleigh...

Considering the lack of rain lately the course is in very good shape. Greens are especially nice, but fairways are in good shape too. Pace was a little slow because of some walkers in front of us. Good experience for my first time there.

Really nice round, leaves are starting to turn colors, but are still mostly on the tree. Aeration of the greens made putting s little adventuresone, but to be expected this time of year. Lots of water hazards on the back 9, so hittng straight and laying up is the smart strategy.

Played 18 today at Stonewall Orchard Golf Course. This beautiful course designed by famed course architect Arthur Hill lives up to its reputation as a challenging, but playable course. Conditions were great and the greens were pretty fast. The rough was pretty tall and made shots out frustrating. at times. Overall, one of the more enjoyable public courses in northern Illinois.
