Tecolote Canyon Golf Course
Played On 11/07/2017Challenging.....and Wet
Tecolote Canyon offers a very challenging round of tight par threes, hidden greens, and elevation changes. The staff were very accommodating and helpful and always maintained a professional demeanor. The course conditions were pretty poor. Almost all the teeboxes were chewed up, vast patches of dead grass and dirt where on every hole. Pace of the greens varied widely. And it was WET. I’m not sure if it had rained heavily prior to my group getting there, but it was muddy and puddles littered the cart path. Being in a Canyon, I could see how drainage could be an issue, but my muddy golf shoes didn’t appreciate the conditions as they were. Overall, it was still a good experience and I would probably go again if asked. For $20, beggars can’t be choosers.

Obviously this Southern California drought doesn't help any courses in this area, so the condition of the course was pretty bad. In the winter, when the conditions aren't as harsh, this will be a nice course. The pace of play was terrible, there needs to be player assistants on the course to usher play a little better. However, I only paid $25/person for 18 and a cart, so I got what I paid for.

Good course! Pretty easy for the novice golfer. Pepsi products tho; they need coca cola.
