Finally made the journey out to this gem. Played the lakes course which was in amazing condition. The fairways held shots well, the greens were challenging and true. Peace was perfect as I got out under 3 hours 45 minutes and back to Vegas in a flash. It's called little Shadow Creek for a reason. Must play!

Greens in good shape, fairways clean and manageable. Anything away from fairways you'll never find your ball due to all the leaves everywhere. Cart paths needs reworking as you'll end bouncing all around if you stay on them. Seem like with lower prices come the slow golfers. Never seen so many people searching for a lost ball as if it were made of gold. Please 2-3 minutes of searching and then drop. Just killed the pace of play today.

I hate to be telling people about my secret go to spot this winter, however it too good not to share. Renditions, a wonderfully created challenging golf course that will test your skills and give you the best start to the season. The fairways are in great shape (although seriously when you take a divot please replace and fill) the roughs are manageable and the greens will make you question your ability to read a green. The hot deal on this course is the best deal in town. You get a premium course at a bargain price. The best of the best in Feb/Mar. The par 5 holes play long, the par 3 holes will test your short game skills and the par 4 will tease you by sitting on the green in 2 only to make a bogey. I do sidetracked while playing the course by repairing the divots along the way. There are 10 inch divots a mere 50 yards from some of the greens and I don't understand why players feel they need to dig into the ground for a shot that close. Off my soapbox but seriously you cannot beat this course during this time of year. Sure it can be windy and cold but once that sun comes out and you're playing Amen Corner life is just that much better. I've played this course 6 times this year already and have seen the improvements to my game. Don't delay get out and play!

Curious about playing this top rated course in the off season? You won't be disappointed. Sure it's February in Maryland and so the grass isn't the greenest but I enjoyed my round immensely. There are a few areas that are a little bit wet so you just move your ball a few feet to get onto firm footing. The pace of play was good and the sand traps were like powder so that was a nice change of pace. The greens are fast and a little tricky to read but that makes the experience more fun. You won't be disappointed if you play here. As a matter of fact I just booked my next round.

Put together a threesome for this amazing course and being the first time we played there wasn't quite sure what to expect. We arrived a little early and was greeted at the bag drop promptly and had all our gear secured and waiting for us to go out. The facilities are amazing and I almost wanted to just hang out and get a drink at the bar because it had such a cool atmosphere. The starter was friendly and gave us a few tips as to how to approach the course which was much appreciated. The only concern we had that day was the wind, It was blowing about 40-50 mph and that made the day challenging to say the least. Funny thing was the course was just in amazing condition and we started getting used to the wind when we realized what a beautiful and challenging course this really was. Even with the wind howling you could still get on the greens in two or three and have a chance at par on every hole. The bunkers are well maintained and the hazards are actually pretty forgiving. Seemed almost easy to find my ball out in the desert. You cannot go wrong here and I am looking forward to returning and trying the other courses as well.

We played this course for the first time on a beautiful fall day where things we pretty wide open for a weekday. We got off ahead of schedule and played as a twosome. The course was in outstanding condition even after the heavy rains of late. The fairways were generous, the hazards manageable to steer clear of and the greens ran true with no unexpected surprises. About 70 miles from my house this course was well worth the scenic drive across the Bay bridge. There are a lot of risk/reward shots out here waiting for you to decide on. I enjoyed the round, the staff was super friendly and conditions were perfect for a getaway round of golf. You won't be disappointed you booked here and enjoyed a incredibly scenic and fun course.

I played this course for the first time and as luck would have it we pretty much had the entire course to ourselves. The only drawback was a constant drizzle and temps hovering in the upper 40s. I was shocked that the course played as firm as it did. After playing other courses in the area that have serious drainage issues this course did not disappoint. We breezed through the front nine and enjoyed the wide open fairways that were very forgiving. The back nine proved to be a lot more challenging with water obstacles, tight fairways and tricky greens. What a amazingly fun time! A challenge yet not overwhelmingly hard course this had something around each corner that allowed you to use every shot in your bag and some you had to make up on the fly. My personal favorite was a shot hit from the rough between a row of about 20 trees that left about a 6 foot clearance between them. Sure enough the ball shot thru that with ease and landed just shy of the pin. You will not be disappointed with the layout, the friendly staff and the amazing conditions after a particularly rainy month. Just make sure to save some juice for hole 18. What a fun way to end the round. Enjoy and thank me later!

So here it is a 1215 tee time at Los Prados for $20 courtesy of Golfnow. What to expect? Amazing is the only weird that comes to mind. No it's not a long course at all but I used my driver on almost everything sans the par3s. It's a thinking man's course, yes you can drive a green from the back but can you hit it straight enough to clear all obstacles? I had one of the best experiences playing this course. I lost my 2 battles with the trees protecting the right side of the green, thought I could go over at 30 yards out but these trees are 70 feet tall. Swallowed my golf ball and promptly dropped it straight down. You can't beat this hidden gem for a fun affordable round of golf when in town. It forces you to be creative and avoid the trees and homes that line some of the holes. My apologies to the 2 homeowners whose houses I did manage to hit. The downside is no gps but there's enough markers to have an understanding of where you are on each hole. Don't miss the opportunity to elevate your game by thinking while playing. Last thought definitely play from the back tee on hole 10. You'll have a gallery and a large water obstacle to overcome. No pressure. Enjoy and thank me later.

Can't say that I didn't know what I had in store when playing here in the middle of June during a heat wave. Greens played true, fairways were immaculate and everything outside of the weather was perfect. Even got a well needed spray of water courtesy of a homeowner sitting in their pool watching us goofballs play in this weather. You cannot beat a round at Chimera either in the early am or the late afternoon. This course is beautifully maintained and is fun to play.

What a amazing experience I had at Chimera. I was paired with 2 other single players and they were equally as impressed by not only the course but the staff as well. The check in was simple, they loaded up my gear and sent me out to the starter who couldn’t have been any nicer. The course was in excellent condition and everything played as expected from a top tier course. I enjoyed every challenge the course threw at me and I enjoyed this round immensely. You can’t go wrong here!

It was a very windy day when I played but the course was in amazing condition. The fairways were groomed perfectly and the bunkers were playable without issue. A fun time with nobody else out there besides me. The greens are challenging and almost ready for warmer weather so they fill in a bit more. You cannot beat the value of this course nor the friendliness of the staff. Highly recommend!

Upon arriving at The Club at Sunrise I was a little concerned as I got what I felt was a great deal for 18 holes of golf. I was grouped up with 3 other singles and luckily one of the players comes here often. His knowledge of the layout was amazing. So here's my first rule if you come here. Get here early and practice your putting. The greens here are probably one of the best overall out of the 17 courses I have played in town so far. It will challenge your skills at reading breaks and sometimes double breaks along with hills and slopes that found me getting a double bogey on a short par 4 when I drove the green. Secondly, do not hit the ball to the right. Stay left or center on every hole because the slope down to the drainage area will swallow your ball if you are even near the right side of the fairway. Sure you can find your ball and chip back to the fairway but going up and down that hill will take a toll on you. A fun layout, friendly staff, awesome greens, well maintained fairways just make this course so enjoyable to play. I'm booking my next round as I am leaving my review. Don't miss this gem.

I made a last minute reservation to play this course on Sunday morning and expected the typical 5 hour Sunday round. Upon checking in we were informed there was a twosome in front of us and we'd be clear to start a little early if we preferred. After loading up our gear we stopped to chat with the starter and he was very helpful in planning to play this course as it was our first time. Just as he said the greens weren't as deceptive as they appear and the course was in amazing condition. The round was played in less than 3 and 1/2 hours and the gps was spot on. What a fun course to play, I'm so glad my trip home was delayed a day and I was able to get out and enjoy an amazing round of golf. Some courses in Vegas seem to overbook the weekend so you can anticipate the 5+ hour round but not this course. It was an amazing experience. I actually shot the best round of the week here and look forward to my next visit in a month.

This course was amazing in every aspect. The actual course was in perfect shape which was impressive as Vegas was in a midst of a 115 degree daily heat wave. The greens were true, the fairways were so playable, the traps were raked nicely and you couldn't ask for better conditions. You will not be disappointed in any aspect of this experience.

This course has a challenging layout. Sadly the fairways are suffering a bit due to lack of water. The gems are awesome but there's some areas where is dort instead of fairwayspending. I still enjoyed playing here because of the challenge but wish it were at 100%.

With 6 target holes to practice at the driving range and 2 putting greens to utilize along with a huge chipping area...there's no reason to walk on this course unprepared. It's a short drive from up from Vegas and worth it hardly even begins to do justice to this course. Amazingly green..amazingly long and just will blow your mind at how beautiful it is here. MUST PLAY!

Played here today and was impressed with the quality of the course. The gems were very playable ands divot free. The fairways cut exactly from hole to hole, the rough very forgiving. You really couldn't ask for a nicer chose to play. Breezed thru 18 in about 3 hours 15 minutes. Incredible.

I read the reviews of this course and wondered what really was going on. Ok I agree the putting greens aren't really greens but short grass that are very slow but are still playable. However I do not think the beauty of this course is in putting practice. It is more about getting out and working on your short game. I brought a 9, PW, 60 degree loft wedge and putter. If you are scoring upper 80's and above this course will help you learn the distance of your clubs so you can hit on a consistent basis. Your shots here are all straight approaches. So it forces you to concentrate on your mechanics. Thankfully the course isn't super busy so if you hit a bad shot you can reset and tee another one up. We had a group in front of us and one behind and I was still able to take a needed second shot without slowing anyone down. We both enjoyed this course and felt for the price we more than got our monies worth. If you're expecting this to be like Renditions you'll be disappointed. If you want to improve your game this is one gem of a course. If you want to work on putting try the putt putt course. It's challenging. I will be back on a regular basis to improve my short game and I think if you give it a chance you'll be joining me.
