Course tee to green is in great shape and staff always friendly and helpful. A short track but requires almost every club in the bag. Sand traps really nice especially during the pandemic. Word of advice. If u are a 270-280 guy off the tee, choose ur sword wisely lol. Most of the drivable par 4’s are full of hazardry around the greens that can punish the scorecard. Also if playing less than 3 players try to group up for everyone’s sake as far as pace of play goes. With all the short four’s the course tends get backed up in a few spots waiting for greens to clear. All in all tho a great bang for ur buck!!

Nice putting surfaces and a beautiful layout. Aprons around the greens need TLC. And I know restrictions brought on by covid have everything to do with un-raked bunkers, but not maintaining weed growth or adding sand to them in what appears to be a decade or so definitely detracts from ur golfing experience when u have over 100 traps. Seriously. Unplayable! Our group implemented a free drop outside the bunker at the point the ball entered. They were that bad. Still bad bunkers all round better than the best day at work!!! Go play!

Are the course conditions perfect? No. Are u gonna get value for your hard earned dollar? Absolutely. Always a fun day here. Staff always welcoming and the food is killa! A couple of strange holes on the front 9 which can cause a little jam if busy. But starter always looking to pair which definitely helps. They usually run 2 bev carts so u will be well hydrated lol. To summarize, get after it! And even for the single digit handicapper, if ur not familiar with the layout. Bring balls

Conditions never great by any stretch. Staff...Meh :| Proshop guys no matter who’s in there always seem to be on a pedistool towards us mere mortal golfers lol. Doesn’t matter though. They enjoy a monopoly as far as golf in ft Walton goes. It has always baffled my mind though as to were the money goes?? They are always packed year around and by no means is next to $40 for an afternoon tee time for a track like the muni cheap!! Again though with next to no competition these things can be achieved. But if the money doesn’t go into the course it should at least free up a Marshall position. Greens: slow. Tee boxes: need love. Rough areas: hard pan. Fairways: mown weeds. Besides that it’s a playable golf course in ft Walton.

Top to bottom, tee to green, the best golf course in NW Florida! From the staff to the course conditions to the lay out everything is top notch! This Freddie Couples design gives you your money’s worth. Tee boxes great, fairways narrow at times but very playable and mowed tight for a perfect lie as reward for a drive in play. Good drives are crucial to a good score here as there is not much rough before every hole seems to slant away on the edges to thick brush or water. Greens always very quick but receptive as well to incoming shots. Pace of play always seems to outstanding too. In summary, if u are passionate about the game you can not pass on this track! Truly 4-5hrs of paradise! For everyone employed there you all get a firm pat on the back from this golfer, thank you for a great day!!!

Sooo.... two and a half yrs to replace two greens??Nah

They allow a group of 15+ regulars to play in groups of fives and opposed to letting faster play though you are gawked at like u shouldn’t be crowding the group lol . Kills the entire flow of the course for anyone else. No mention by Golfnow of greens under construction for same priced hot deal as when there are no greens under repair. Two temporaries and just about all the rest verticut even though very soft. Made for a mess regarding a putting surface. Gentlemen running the pro shop together had the personality of one individual with none whatsoever lol! Sheesh!! Young lady on bev cart was delightful and the cart guy was nice as well! Short track and even though there are tee markers for blue tee yardages, there were no separate boxes or blue tees to be found?? The whites were positioned all the way back and measured around what was posted on markers so idk. Nice layout for limited space. Won’t be back

Good layout and conditions. They always do a great job. My go to.
