The Practice Tee at Sunset Hills

Nice Range but course is very dried out. Greens are really slow and rough.

This is a great place to teach someone how to golf and hence my two stars. The driving range and practice green are in very good shape and the trainers and staff are very friendly.
The course itself is getting worse and worse as larger patches of dirt show up every week. The greens are so slow, it seems counter-productive to even try and get the ball in, maybe chipping while on the green is a better option there. The only thing I can say about the course maintenance is that the fairways are mowed.
If you have somebody new to the game bring them here for the tiny holes and flat ground. Another six-hole course, Skyway Golf, does offer a better maintained experience for the beginner south of Chico on the way to Paradise
