Tough course. Long, hilly, lots of penalty, many narrow fairways. A wonderful challenge. Paired with high handicapper who stood over the ball forever, and then hit miserably. Annoying!
Will play again when in the area.

A challenging course. Some tough shot making. Plenty of length. Contoured, fast greens. Just a great golf challenge.

Excellent ound of golf. I always enjoy Thorntree. Greens were in great shape and true, not easy, and quite large. Bunkers needed attention. Fairways had nice grass to hit off of. Overall, a wonderful day of golf. Thanks.

I really like the layout and challenges of Thorntree. The fairways were excellent, the tee boxes fair, the greens slow and covered with sand. The overall experience was great fun and a good value.

I usually enjoy playing here, about once a month. Play was backed up from the start. Five minute wait on each shot. The greens were in poor shape. The fairways were soggy and bunkers unusable. I gave up after nine. But I usually love playing here and will try again in April.

I played a silver/blue combination of about 6,500 yards. Every tee shot had a wasteland carry and many narrow landing areas. Often water on both sides of the fairways, lots of bunkering. Greens were sorrounded by penalty hazards and many demanded precise approach shots. Greens were fast but fair, not easy to read. Almost every shot had gut-check time, as primised by the reviews I had read. Excellent course, fun afternoon. Thanks, Madison Green

I played the course for the first time. The layout is a nice connection to the courses on TV. Loved the endless bunkering, the contoured fast greens, and the fairway grass. So many shots called for course management. Great round of golf. The guy who checked me in challenged my pants as jeans. Really? And a lady was running a vacuum while we had a beer afterwards. Really? But that's insignificant compared to the golf experience. Look forward to playing again!

Had an enjoyable round played in 3 1/2 hours. The greens were huge and the condition good. Bunkers were the best I've played locally at a municipal course. Fairways were wide and nice to hit from. Tee boxes wete5 a mess, some closed. Eaterview represents excellent value.

Always enjoy playing here. Great layout, so many beautiful and unique holes. A fun challenge. Also like the putting green and short game area.

Thorntree is a shotmaker's course with length. The greens were just fertilized and unplayable and the fairways are winter hardpack, but the golf is always interesting and fun at Thorntree.

Enjoyed my round immensely. Played alone on a cold, windy winter's day. Lots of water and trees. Plenty of fairway room. Greens quite slow. Nice test of golf.

I played today without any knowledge of Thorntree. Enjoyed the course immensely. Plenty of length, many unique holes, true greens, loads of bunkering both fairway and guarding the greens. The course has earned its slope ratings. Great challenge!

A good course. Excellent layout, but uneven tees, spotty grass could be improved. Greens were fairly good, undulating. Enjoyable round.

Good golf course. Difficult pin placements for putting and approach shots. Loved it. Tremendous value.

I had a wonderful round of golf. Each hole had its own challenges. Lot's of shot-making. Long and short par 3's. Excellent greens, also large. Up and down, trees, water, the course had it all. Highly recommend it.

The course was excellent. It was a rainy day and the course was wet but it drained well and just played long. The greens were in excellent shape but slow. Excellent layout and lots of beautiful mature trees. A wonderful value. Northern Virginia at it's best.

Coyote Ridge is two courses, the front and the back. One is open with well-bunkered greens and fairways, the other is tree-lined with lot's of hills and tight fairways. Greens are large and complicated. The grass was in good shape for mid-August. Loved playing it today.
