San Tan Highlands
Played On 08/16/2019Nice layout
Fairways were a bit roughed up and bunkers were below average. However front 9 in the mountains was visually spectacular (back 9 was more target golf between houses). Overall it was a good course for the money and the staff was very friendly accommodating. Would recommend.

Played On 07/25/2019Great deal at a superb course
Love love love this course! Only problem was pace of play. Got stuck behind a 3some that I just couldn’t pass. 4 hour round as a single? Anyway beautiful day and very nicely laid out course. Greens were in great shape and bunkers full. Highly recommended.
Phillips Park Golf Course
Played On 07/05/2018Nice course but...
Be prepared for people to be on the course that have never played golf before. We were stuck behind 2 groups of young men who seemed as though they’ve never swung a club and didn’t know the first thing about etiquette. No rangers to be found either. Overall it’s a decent public course but gets entirely too much play and several worn areas showed this. If you can get it for under $30 then it’s worth a play.
St. Andrews Golf & Country Club - St. Andrews Course
Played On 03/07/2017Decent course for the money
Played mid week on a windy day. Hot deal too good to pass up. Course gets a lot of play and is open in winter so it gets beat up. Overall not too bad of shape given the time of year. Greens were fine and appeared to be maintained. Several areas under repair so look out. Would recommend with hot deal or if looking for a last minute tee time.
Bartlett Hills Golf Club
Played On 02/16/2017Go but not in early spring
Played this course 20+ times but never early in the season. Great rate so I took a chance. No surprise cart path only but the greens were open. Nice course to play in summer and fall.
Bolingbrook Golf Club
Played On 9/19/2013Nice course but wait for the deals
Overall this course is well maintained and has a fair layout. There is trouble on some of the holes but it's not ridiculously difficult. Traps were full of water but that was to be expected given the amount of rain the night before. Staff was very friendly and you can tell it gets a lot of play. I would wait for a deal as the $80-$90 regular price tag is a bit steep. I was able to reserve for $56 and was happy with the price.
Prairie Landing
Played On 9/17/2013Worth the trip if you can get a good rate
Consistent with other reviews, the course is a hidden gem. The only problems were the traps were not well maintained (some of them had weeds growing in them) and there were no rangers to be found on the entire course. Played the front nine in blazing fashion only to hit a roadblock on the back 9, making me suspect that they were letting later tee times off on the back. Overall the course is well laid out and offers a variety of risk/reward shots. Don't let your guard down on any hole as the course is capable of biting back hard. Great amenities especially the 3-hole practice course and plenty of scenery. A must play if you haven't been there before.
Thanks for the recommendation, we hope you'll come book another round at Johnson Ranch soon!
