Special Course

This course is unlike any other. The design was clearly done by someone with a very bad sense of humor and who delights in causing agony to golfers, because everything is there to make it difficult and challenging and to invite disaster. The new course management and caretakers are doing an EXCELLENT job of maintaining the course and making it even more challenging. This course is the opposite of predictable or boring. Every club will be used as placement is so very critical. There is much for long hitters but there is also much for short straight hitters. However, if you slice or hook too much you will need many many extra balls. You can lose 2-3 balls per hole if you are not careful. Every green is hidden from every tee (except par 3's); blind shots are the norm. During dry weather the greens are very fast; sometimes nearly impossible to hold. Bunkers are placed strategically to attract your ball when you avoid the trees and extreme rough. Many of the bunkers are so deep they have ladders to get in and out. The one on the 18th can double for a bomb shelter it is so deep. In general pin placements are very challenging and the greens have multiple breaks. Truly an unusual course and never boring. You have to play multiple times.
