I always anticipate my round at University Park will be very good: it always exceeds that expectation.
The professional set-up here always impresses. From the moment you arrive you are treated courteously by staff members and you cannot fail to be impressed by the buildings and facilities. The various practice areas enable you to warm up effectively, whether with driver and woods/irons, chipping or putting.
There are three nines and I was happy with the selection: middle and then front. The course was in excellent shape, from tidy tee boxes, well-kept fairways and excellent greens. All sand-traps were immaculate.
With all this going for it, I was pleased to play and score well and I did not let the course down!
Every vacation here includes beaches, shopping and dining and at least one round at University Park.

With so many courses, and levels of challenge, to choose from in the Bradenton-Sarasota area, the competition should be quite fierce. But for me, there is a clear winner: University Park Country Club.
I have been on vacation in this part of Florida for many years, golfing being an important part of my relaxation. This golf club provides the golfer with excellent practice facilities, three 9-hole courses with a wide variety of golfing experiences, backed by helpful, interested staff.
As an overseas visitor, I present as a single player, but this is not an obstacle to an enjoyable golfing experience. On this occasion I was teamed up with three other players, who provided excellent company for the 18 holes. We played the open fairways of holes 19-27 first, almost always forgiving of the stray wayward shot, but with its own challenges, followed by the front 9, with its tighter fairways and green-side hazards and, for me, the signature hole, the par three number 5. As always, I was sorry the round had ended, but with the expectation of enjoying the complete golfing experience again soon
