Flying in for 2 days of work from East coast. Scheduled early day flight before to possibly get an afternoon round the day before. Flew in, got rental car, and pulled up GolfNow to see what was available in the area. Picked here because of the reviews. Drove right to the course after booking and they were ready for me with my reservation. Staff was very friendly with checkin and took my bag and put it on cart with a 3some while I put on some shorts. 76 and sunny.. a pleasant welcome from 30 degree day when i left East coast.

Tee’d off at 3:14... knowing i probably wouldnt finish 18 before sunset at 6:20?? Course was in great shape and greens were good. Talking with my playing partner.. they had some horrible rain the week before flooding parts of the course and some places still had residual affects left over. Basically the front 9 is out and back holes running parallel to each other and runnoff stream between them was still swollen. But fairways were great and somewhat firm.. not soggy.

Pace of play was good with a couple of back ups at the 2 par 3s, but acceptable. IMO course was seeing influx of twilight (discount $) after work/late day golfers getting in golf...9+ holes before sunset.

I didnt expect to get 18 in at that time of day.. knowing sunset time... and Pace was well within my expectations. It would have had to be totally empty for me to get 18 in. I finished 9 and called it quits to meet up with a work colleague for dinner who was just arriving in. Playing partners said they would most likely get in 14-15 anyhow at that time of day.. so i was way satisfied of my accomplishment.

Thats a lot of detail.. but in general the staff was great, friendly, and accommodating. Price was good for a twilight round and booking online... easy and no hiccups with the proshop. Course was in nice shape and knowing PHX had some flash flooding the week before.... course recovered well. I would definitely play here again.

Mt View has upgraded their course the last few years from when it was the Elks CC. Well done.

Early Oct round. Great weather. Greens were in fabulous shape. Went out in afternoon. Played front as a single and matched up with 3 retirees on back. Great afternoon of getting out to play golf.
The newer 12th hole is very nice and challenging!!

Course still needs to do something about #11 where total fairway is sloped on hill. You can hit straight down middle and it will roll off fairway to the left. Must hit right of the fairway for it to roll back down into fairway.
