We pull up to #1 two minutes late, but the group ahead of us is just finishing up their tee shots. The starter was rude from the get go. As we are waiting to tee off on #2 (we waited to tee off on every single hole), the group behind us passed on a message from the starter to "hurry up". Again, I'd like to stress that we waited on the group ahead of us to hit almost every one of our drives and fairway shots. From then on the group behind us felt pressured into hurrying and hit into us three times. 1st shot into us bounced off the top of our cart and nearly missed our heads. 2nd shot hit off the tire of my cart. 3rd shot was into our carts as we left the green for the next hole.

All could have been avoided if the starter realized we weren't the problem. I have played this course a few times, and it is completely average. I won't be playing this course any time soon due to the starter's attitude, quality of the course compared to other local options, and the extremely slow pace of play. We teed off at 7:25am and were waiting the entire round.

Advise to the course...send actual marshalls out to speed up play...don't pass along messages to "hurry up" through other golfers trying to enjoy their round as well.
