A niceday out with my son.

Myself and my 18 son booked our round of golf through Golfnow as I had used the site previously. Although we live 22 miles away and are members of Tullamore GC, we have always had a soft spot for Edenderry golf club as my son played his 1st under 15 competition there. The day was fine for November and it didn't rain. We wanted to try the Indian cuisine in the clubhouse after our round and were not disappointed. The clubhouse bar is very cosy and it capped off a very nice day out.

Very challenging

We really enjoyed this course and it was outstanding value for money at the reduced rate we payed. Decided to play off the white tees but on reflection it would have been better to play off the more advanced green tees. Would be a challenge even for single handicap golfers. The locker room and bar/restaurant facilities are second to none. Recommended!

The front nine holes are fabulous.

Played this course with my son and a visiter from France who we invited to join us while waiting to tee off. He descibed the stretch from the 2nd to the 8th hole as sumptuous and better than Kingsbarnes in Scotland. As it was originally designed as a 9 hole course, the back nine is not as spectacular, as a few holes criss-cross due to lack of land. However, the front-nine is worth the green fee on it's own. Would recommend it for the spectacular views of the sea and Dublin coastline.

Fantastic value for money.

I played New Forest two weeks ago with my 14 year old son and a friend of mine. I chose this course because of the cost as I was paying for my son as well as myself. We teed off at 8.50 on a crisp september Saturday morning. We thought the course was brilliant value for money, as we are members of Tullamore golf club and could make the comparism. The only minor issue was that the bunker sand was extremely wet, but this was understandable as the weather had been bad earlier in the week. Some of the holes were gorgeous. There is a par 3 built within a walled enclosure. I would recommend that you have a half-decent golf game in order to really enjoy the challenge.
