I consider this a local course being 30 minutes from my house. I just finished playing there today and was very disappointed. There were 2 6-somes in front of our group. Not slow actually, but destroying the course. I filled up our cart basket 3 times picking up garbage from them. Plates, cans, cups, there should have been someone monitoring the course having big groups out there.

The course was in wonderful condition in the spring. I was amazed how nice it was, unfortunately, it is not so now. Greens are in bad shape, fairways are like rocks, it has been let go. The holes that are good, are good, but they are getting less and less. So unfortunate for such a historical course.

Bring it back and maintain the great course it once was, bring it back to the course it was in the spring.

Course was in nice shape. Greens were rolling true, very scenic. Worth the 30 minute drive for me. Brian in the proshop is a great representation of who you want welcoming people to your course and resort. Professional and pleasant.

WOW... what a wonderful time we had. This was the first time at this course. It was rainy, foggy, windy, and cool. We were pegged as the outsiders because we are from PA, so during Jan in Florida when it is 60, we are wearing shorts and polos and are comfortable while others are in rain gear with jackets, gloves, hats, etc.

Our round started off by someone greeting us at the car with a cart, but most of all a good morning. We went inside where again greeted by nothing but a pleasant atmosphere. Mike the started was as polite as could be and it was a pleasure talking with him. We were paired up with 2 local gentleman who were a pleasure to play golf with. The conditions were horrible in the morning, rain, fog, etc., but it didn't matter. We had such a wonderful time that we booked a Sunday round there on golfnow before we even made the turn. We did not wait for a shot. The place was packed, but the starter did a wonderful job. Both days were a pleasure. We were welcomed back again the following day to a better weather day. The course was immaculate. I can't wait to go again to play.

You must appreciate the course for what it is. It's a small 9 hole course on what looks to be an old resort in the Pocono mountains. The proshop is a shed filled with love and appreciation. They were some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with on a golf course. The course itself is a wonderful practice course. There are no bunkers, no water, but there are differ types of grass and different lies you will encounter and give you a challenge. The greens although very small and a slower/thicker cut are in wonderful condition. The rest of the course is on a noticeable uphill battle back from the depths. I am used to playing on long style private courses with big fast greens. The weather was cold, and all I wanted to do was play, this was great. I am now following this course on f-book, check them out for their back story, and even though an hour away, will be making the trip back to see the progress of the course. Thanks for such a pleasurable experience.

I was staying with my wifes family about a mile away so the course was very convenient to play for me. I purchased with teh deal of the day for 30 dollars, which is not a bad deal, especially since the area's golf is expensive. The course was in better shape than 2 years ago, but not "pristine". It may sound unfair, but most of it had to do with the condition the players left it in, The greens are actually fairly nice, slower than what i'm used to, but nice. Unfortunately it sees a lot of vacation play where people leave their etiquette at home and do not fix spike marks, sand their divots on the teebox or the fairway. I thoroughly enjoyed my round, had a blast with the 3 I was paired up with, and had a nice discussion with the starter. I have played here before and will again next time i'm down.

I am from Northeast PA and was in LI for the weekend and wanted to play golf. I'm not familiar with the courses in the area or price but I was lucky enough to get the 24.00 deal, so I was wonderful for the money. It is a pretty typical municipal course in my eyes. Not overly manicured but not under, nice course size. It can be a long course if you play from the tips, or it could be easier if you play from the whites. The greens are slow. They are perfect speed for a municipal course. You can tell this course is taken care of by the club, but unfortunately not by the players. I really did enjoy my time at the course. I will definitely play there again if given the opportunity.
