The course is in impeccable condition, except for the sand traps. Awful. Hard as rock, Desert sand, not meant for golf courses.

This course has some fantastic holes and great views, but the days of pro events stopping here have long past. Other than a few tight holes the layout is good. A lot of maintenance is required before I'd go back.

The Raven is one of the best in Phoenix. It was in fantastic shape.

This course always used to be in great condition, but not any more. I dont think it's seen water in months. Cant say anything good about it.
Apparently the last 'lessee' kept all of the green fees and took off without doing any maintenance. The course is being run by a local group trying to keep it open. Good luck to them.

The course just re-opened after overseeding and is in absolutely perfect condition. Greens were a little long, but I can't putt anyway.

The course is in great shape and we sailed through in three hours. Nice practice facilities but no restaurant. Still worth a visit.

The tee boxes and greens were in fantastic shape but the fairways were dry and painted green. They looked good and rolled a long way too (for those who hit them).

For $143 you'd think you'd get sand in the traps and see the odd ball washer. Not here.
Play was very slow and the marshal knew who the problem group was but did nothing about it. He said they paid a lot to golf and wouldn't move them up. All of the people they were holding up paid a lot too, but that point was lost on him.

This course is fantastic. If you get a chance to play there, dont miss it.

Apparently JR traded their normally useless volunteers for some new friendly ones. Unfortunately they had to throw in their free range balls, GPSs, ball washers, and water coolers. They must have a new business prevention manager this year.

This course is not worth half of what they charge. Flat, straight layout Indifferent staff. Average condition. Got me once, but that'll be it.

You cant get much better of a course for the money. Beautiful scenery, good course conditions, and a great layout. Well worth the drive from the SE valley.

When I walked up to the check-in area with my wife's and my bag there were 11 volunteers within 50 feet of the check in counter and none of them even offered to help load the bags. Only 4 of the 11 were right at the counter but it would only take one to help.
Kudos to the actual starter though. I great guy.
