Forest Glen Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/26/2023Fairway and rough Grass was pretty to look at but....
Not sure what turf the fairways or rough were covered with, but while they looked plush the turf was so thin to the wet dirt layer below, it was extremely difficult not to dig in unless you picked the ball with no turf contact. I played a nearby private course two weeks ago and play this area all summer long.....i know how my clubs and swing style react to the turn..... chunky monkey was the rule of the day. My experienced playing partner experienced the same issues.

Nice day of golf on heavily played course. Decent condition. Water jug at turn was empty at 3:00 and water fountain at comfort station on back nine was broken. Hydration In Florida is mandatory.

Course is new. expect hard and fast fairways and hard greens. But... There is a "rock layer under the grass?" you need a hammer to drive a tee more than 1.5 inches into the tee box.. literally... I was using my driver to hammer my tee to the proper height.
The fairways were very vary dry. The greens were nice. The sand was very nice. No water cups.. just sippy cone cups at water jugs. Only portolets because it s brand new. They should put some cheap bottle water in each cart if they are not going to provide proper filtered water stations with real cups... bring your own cup.. we did luckily.
Course is a familiar designer Robert Cupp.. but it lacks the challenging layout of his previous courses locally.
It will get better. But Lennar the developer should spend a bit more money even now in the beginning if you are going to attract sales and residents from your good value venue.

Played On 12/15/2018Fairways are getting a little tired over the years
Pace of play was good, though we had no one in front or back of us, but I did see the ranger several times during the round. May of the fairways and tee boxes were not up to the standards of a private club such as this. The greens were excellent, but I have played this course many times since it was opened and the fairways used to be much better. Grass was thin in places, many weeds and bare spots and though it had rained a bit the night before, every time the ball hit the fairway, it picked up mud / dirt due to the sparse and loose condition of the fairway turf.

I arrived to play 18 holes which I had booked the day before. I got there and a sign on the "shack" pro shop building said "Front 9 closed, Back 9 cart path only". I live less than a mile from the course and we had had 1 inch of rain the day before. It had been sunny for the past day and the least of my concern would have been course closed conditions. After waiting 20 minutes for a cart, I saw that the tee had 10 groups waiting to tee of / cross over. I bailed out and did not play.

Worst golf experience of the summer 2015. (We play an average of 60 rounds per year) Got there early (30 minutes) to use the "driving range" (balls into a net) paid for a large bucket and got out side to where we dropped our clubs and they have no carts. There were 5 groups ahead of us waiting for a cart. The cart attendant was obviously stressed and treated us like we were asking for something special... a cart we paid for. We got a cart 5 minutes after our tee time and decided to return the balls at the end of the round that took over 4.5 hours and as a three some we waited on every shot at every hole sometimes for as much as 8 minutes.
When returning the balls they at first only offered me a "rain check"
