Scenic afternoon

Very scenic course. Has a pro course feel with multiple tee boxes spread throughout the links. Lots of elevated tee boxes, good fairways and nice but sometimes very tricky greens. I didn't score well but didn't care either because it is so beautiful. Every hole is different all with their own challenges. My only complaint was a couple holes the pin placement was too difficult for the average golfer. Most of our foursome picked up without holing out but considering how nice the course is this is a minor complaint. Definitely recommend playing this course.

Fun course

Lots of water on the front nine. It's not difficult, ie not long, but if you make mistakes like I did you pay! Greens were nice, some very tricky, multi tiered, slopes, all which is good for a challenge. The fairways are pretty decent, some blind holes, some helpful rolls, some not so much which keeps you focused. All in all a fun day, just a little slow pace but we did pick twilight golf. We got our 18 in but putted in the dark on 18 with a 2 pm start.

Fun to play

Greens were nice. All holes different layout. First few holes are short so easy to score well but it gets more challenging as it progresses. Water holes challenging but fun and scenic. Fairways are OK, they are trying to improve them. If you can't walk much the course may be a problem as they have quite a few holes cart path only while they try to rejuvenate the fairways. Pace was a bit slow for a Thursday afternoon. All in all a fun course to play.

Tricky but nice

Fairways need some work but it is winter so that needs to be considered. I found the front nine tough but I'm a high handicapper so it might have been me! Back nine has more water but not in the way if you hit the ball straight. The greens are terrific, nice pace, hold the ball well. The greens are a 5 but the fairways and sand bring the overall score down. The sand is inconsistent. One trap was hard as concrete, the next I sank up to my ankles, the last one was in between. I usually don't care what the sand is but I do like consistency in feel. Overall the course is pretty, holes are all different and it was fun to play. We played on a cool, bit wet weekday so pace of play was totally up to us. I recommend giving it a try especially for the money.

Great little course

Greens are very good, the ball holds well, pace of putting not too fast, not slow. Greens pretty easy to read, some slight breaks but true. Fairways are green but being mostly par 3 don't come into play too often. Nice course for first game, get the kinks out especially the short game. Did the course in just over two hours so if time is an issue this is the course for you. We normally play full course so probably won't play it again this year. Staff were very nice, would be an easy walk for those so inclined. Excellent for an executive course

Nice layout

Putting green and range very handy to clubhouse. Nice layout, some water, some traps. Greens in very nice shape and a bit tricky. Got tee time through golf now so price was good value for the course. Will play it again, time permitting.

Great layout, greens fast, fairways need work

Interesting layout, quite a bit of water, pretty waterfalls as it must have rained recently. We like playing the course but the tee boxes are so hard you can hardly get a tee in the ground. The fairways look dried out, lots of debris, but lots of roll for us hackers. You need to pick the ball clean as not much give to the fairways. The greens are true and the fastest we have played in Hill Country so far, the only complaint is it was very hard to hold a ball. You had to drop it short and let the ball run on the green and hope it stayed. All in all a good challenge. Staff were very friendly. Beautiful clubhouse.
