Everything from cart attendants to check in & bar @ the turn was good. A few tee boxes were sandy but had just enough patches of grass. Fairways were really nice, a few dull spots on a few greens but still puttable. Some forward tee box markers were missing, but we have played the course before, so we had an idea where they should have been.

Course: great overall conditions, great conditioned tee boxes, greens are great. Overall course is very nice. Lunch: very fresh, good course food...we ordered ahead & overall good. Drink cart was well stocked, cold beer & the Rita's were good. Staff upon checking us in was very accommodating to our 4some plus 1 rider. The outdoor music playing in the chipping area sets a good vibe for the round, great job guys! We will be back!

Our group was on time, we get to #1 & grouos were backed up, the group behind us now had arrived to the tee box, no Marshall in site, we got rained out, so it was better than playing in the slow pace. We will return but on a weekday, not weekend.

Our weekly group have played the renovated course now several times, this by far is our favorite course in houston. Conditions have been 5star, nothing negative to report about anything. I am sure though the driveway into the parking lot will eventually be paved. I have only seen the lunch bbq trailer open once on a friday, guess it must be only limited on weekends, not fridays. Bring hearty snacks.

Bayforest is playing real good, overall greens are fast & smooth. I tend to walk this course, it has new challenges every round.

Trendy, updated clubhouse, staff all around super nice, had a bagel for breakfast & the grilled chicken sandwich for lunch...both fresh & good. Course was busy, but everyone moved along @ a good pace, conditions were good, no bad spots on greens. The area is busy but different in a good way. Enjoy!

Call clubhouse if you choose to play on Tuesdays, they seem to have a weekly local group, I was stuck behind & as a single rider...made for a slow pace. Overall- course conditions are good, back 9 was kinda dry fairways. Iguanas all over course, but they dont bother you. Raccoons on back9, not too crazy about that (hence, 3 stars) was told they do not bother you, but I did have one try to snag a snack from my cart, although my snacks were not out in the open. Very local for the locals, awesome views of the bay & of Miami.

Fairways have some wear, maybe rope off some areas for growth to fill in. #9 fairway has some tall patches of weeds, not a deal breaker. Greens are great condition!

Found a HOT DEAL, & was concerned that the deal was too good to be true. Everything from the bag-drop attendant thru out the day was TOP NOTCH! The (adult beverages) on the course we're well worth $6 per drink, I was enjoying the prices! Overall course conditions were good, few bare spots on greens but not a deal breaker. This is a high end $45 course, be sure to look for the HOT DEALS.

tee boxes (overall) I don't remember exactly which holes but most were just sand, hardly any grass. some dry (beaten down) areas on the fairways, hole#18 is shorten due to construction, so the green was a temp green...we just skipped that hole. I would give them one more visit, but Emerald Bay, Indian Bayou will start to get my business if the course conditions do not improve at Seascape.

As always, everything about Hyatt Golf Club was TOP notch! the bev cart made plenty of stops for our group, course conditions are excellent right now!

Been playing here for years, got a golfnow deal I could not pass up, staff as always friendly & nice to see us return. Although the snack bar was busy, we were allowed to call in a lunch order for pick-up on the turn, great lunch! Beer cart made quick rounds & checked on us every time, so we did not starve or go thirsty!
greens are rolling good, fairways are well watered right now, bunkers had water but overall course was playable due to all the rain we are getting, thanks again BF!

I am sad to say, I will not be returning (or recommend to our group) to return to Battleground for a while, the whole course seemed thirsty & just dead. hardpan just about everywhere, rundown clubhouse, rundown restrooms. we teed off at 11:40, & the beer was not even stocked cold yet? The bev cart never came onto the bak 9?? I do have to say the chopped beef bbq was good! Go play Timber Creek, Bay Forest, hec....even San Jac!

some spots in fairways are worn down, & please add some stripes to make your 150 fairway markers brighter to see from the tee boxes. as i said, greens are nice! bunkers were in need of some upkeep!

off the course though' i had a burger from the grill, & got sick .....so caution w/the food, course & staff were awesome though!

I did not catch his name, but I would think the employees checking you in for your tee time would be aware of the HOT DEALS booked on golfnow.com, the guy actually lectured me that the HOT DEAL did not cover the cost of the carts?? NOT MY PROBLEM!....check me in, & let me get on my way, good thing is I ALWAYS bring a copy of the tee time to the course! The course was nice, I will be returning soon!

Staff very friendly. Great greens! I only gave 2 stars for the two reasons I listed. As for the rest of the course, yes you need to renovate, & new golf carts! Will visit again AFTER renovations, looking forward to the changes! In your current condition, NO I will not recommend at this time, maybe after the renovations.
