Pope Golf now owns the course. It was really bad when they bought it. Then it started to come back nicely. However it has slipped again and other than it being cheap, it is not worth playing. The tees are just dirt. The fairways are bare in many areas and the greens are inconsistent. It's a shame because it's a nice layout.

I should not be penalized for hitting a nice drive down the middle. On this course your second shot is likely off of dirt. The course is in great need of some TLC. I wouldn't bother.

They advertise this as a Golf Digest 4 star course. Maybe 20 years ago. One of the worst conditioned courses I've ever played. The fairways are dry and brown the greens bare except for where the weeds are growing,

This is literally the worst golf course I've ever played. They should just close it. The worst part about it is that we played it because their website advertises that it is a Golf Digest "Best Places to Play". What a lie. Don't be fooled by any low prices. The greens are not puttable and some of the fairways are just dirt.

I would have submitted the survey but not when you require me to write a review - that's ridiculous.
Irrigation pump issue combined with heat and drought caused winter rye to check out early this year. Summer maintenance programs already started, killing weeds, growing grass, aerification, etc. Working on tee boxes this summer.
