We went to the course today knowing the might be some changes due to social distancing. The staff had the course well maintained. There was a raised piece in every cup so that we did not need to pull the flag, or even tough the flag. Our ball rolled into the cup yet remained high enough that we could easily get our hand on it. My husband and I played comfortably and finished in less than 3:5 hours. Social distancing in the beautiful AZ sunshine!

We tried to play Foothills last weekend. We were all so frustrated by the greens, though, that when it started to sprinkle rain on the 9th hole it was like a sign! We packed it in and were glad to do it. So the greens had obviously been punched sometime in the fall, but nothing was done to help the greens to recover. They had tufts of grass overall and spots that seemed like they might have fungus. These were bare, spots, so your ball bounced between the tufts of grass and the bare spots and would not hold a line. It was very frustrating. The fairways were not in real good condition either, so something has happened to their course maintenance program and that is too bad.

We got lost finding the entrance to this course, so add a few extra minutes if it is your first visit. We had to rush to the first tee, unfortunately, but we're pleased with the course itself once we were warmed up. Lovely greens that were consistent from hole to hole. Loved the views of classic homes that skirted the fairways. We had lunch at the course following our round and enjoyed that as well.

I enjoyed the course, however there were at least two places on the course where the next tee box was within reach of those approaching the green. We had to wait extra time to play to our hole because the people on the next tee box were in our range.

Most frustrating was having a group ahead of us playing from the tips when two of the three could barely get the ball off the tee, let along advance it as far as the forward tees. This is what we had to watch for 18 holes. There was no help from the guys in the Pro Shop.

My husband and I played this course many years ago, so it came back to us a bit as we played. I enjoyed the layout, except for one par 3 #7 that had a dog leg around some trees, uphill to the green, with some water below on the left. It was so tricked up that I might just skip it next round. That was the only hole I objected to.

Course not busy. Took our time and still finished in under 4 hours.
