Peninsula Lakes Golf Club - Hillside
Played On 05/24/2021Orchard, Quarry
Peninsula Lakes is the best course in the Niagara region. It is always immaculate and I am never disappointed playing there. Of the three 9's we played the Orchard and the Quarry. Each 9 has it's own set of challenges to make for an always interesting round. To top it off the weather was perfect. An outstanding day of golf.
Willodell Golf Club of Niagara
Played On 09/27/2020Parking lot
I used to like this course but this time it was awful. Might as well have been playing in a parking lot. Everything was dry. The greens were like rock. When you hit a green on a par 3 you should not end up in a bunker on a different green. I do not recommend this course.
Cardinal Lakes Golf Club - Heron Course
Played On 08/15/2020The Heron
Considering the dry weather we've been having the course was in very good condition. The only drawback is once you leave the first tee you don't see the clubhouse again until you are finished 18, and no halfway house. Only one refreshment cart between two courses so you'd better come prepared. ...The greens were excellent with very consistent roll and fairways excellent. All in all a very good day of golf.
Legends on the Niagara Golf Course - Battlefield
Played On 08/05/2018Legends does not disappoint
Battlefield at Legends has always been one of my favourite courses and this time out was amazing. With most of the courses in Niagara only concerned about greens and fairways Battlefield was completely lush and in perfect shape. My only concern is that being in a tourist area the off course amenities are a little expensive.
Thank you, glad to hear you enjoyed our course conditions. We hope to see you back again soon.
Thundering Waters Golf Club
Played On 05/17/2015Thundering Waters is quite possibly the most beautiful course in Niagara
The overall shape of the course is fantastic except for the greens. The greens looked diseased and were cut very shaggy which made putting difficult.
Port Colborne Country Club
Played On 8/23/2013unchallenging, dry as a bone, unreceptive greens
For all the hype I heard about this course I was very disappointed with it. I can understand why people like this course as other than a bit of water there is no real place to lose a ball if you keep it in bounds. Trees were all cut at least 3 feet off the ground and all underbrush has been cleared out. There are no hills or valleys just flat land with the odd misplaced knolls. I am not much better than a hack golfer and I didn't lose a ball and scored my best round in years. As for the course condition, it was dry as a bone. Tee boxes, the entire rough, of which there is only one level, and greens were all dried out. The fairways were only in slightly better shape. The course layout is confusing with paths from 2 or 3 greens to tee boxes intersecting throughout the course. At least twice we had to check the hole sign to make sure we were on the right tee box.
Grand Niagara Golf Club - The Rees Jones Course
Played On 9/19/2012one word: magnificent
From tee to green this course was in outstanding condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all it was probably the best golf outing of my season.
