Martin Downs Country Club - Osprey Creek Course
Played On 07/30/2020Nice course for the money
Important to say up front I like this coutse, but it does have some problems.
Green are not thatNo two green seem to have the same speed or growth. Fairway have a lot of clumps of mowed grass in them. Fairway grass is kept fairly long so mot much in roll outs. 1st cut is pretty high I have had a times lost some balls right off the fairway. All of the staff here are very friendly, which is a big reason I come back. I wish you had to offer a military rate for us vets. Overall I still like the course and will return.

Staff is always extremely polite, especially Kevin in pro shop.
My main complaint would be sticking twosums or single player inbetween foursomes. Make it mandatory to combine them or they wait until there is a large gap. Mowers for the most part are good but they need to be reminded of moving out of the way when playing, and shuting down mowers while playing through. Large clumps of grass on fairways, and first cut should be low enough to find ball?
Crane Watch Club

After being closed for over a year(approx) I thought everything might have been in better shape. I was not impressed with fairways or greens as I thought they might have been greatly approved. I like the course but was expecting more for the money. Trying to book on line is next to impossible, unknown why? Cannot get a page to open up on email login. Had to use golf now which is something I avoid as it prove not to be as good as I thought it would be.

It has been a year since I last visit the course and I found the fairways moist. Last year they remained wet due to what I believe is poor drainage, and I do not know what can be done for that. This is the very reason I did not come back to the course. Although the course was better it is not up to par with most courses around the area. I would also add that if it was possible to have fairway, 1st cut then a 2nd cut, then the thick trees I think it would entice more weekend golfers to play here. You lose a lot of balls as soon as you get of the fairway due to thick scrub and trees lining the fairways. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

I like this course because it forces you to place your ball strategically for your next shot. The course is narrow which forces me to not try and drive the ball 300 yds. Keeps me in control of my ball flight.
Hi, thank you for your detailed feedback. We are continuing to improve the course so we appreciate your patience. We hope that you will come back again soon.
