The layout of this course makes it fun and challenging. I recommend playing combination tees because some holes are short; however, some holes are very narrow. There are several holes with water and the back nine has nice views of the South Mountain range.

The greens were not cut so it was the slowest greens we have ever played in AZ. The fairways were good; unfortunately, most of the sides of the fairways were sand with patches of grass. Some areas of the rough around the green were not cut so it took a while to find your ball. The sand traps had a lot of rocks.

Longbow is a great golf course. It is challenging but fair. The course was in excellent condition even though we had record high temperatures. They had coolers filled with water bottles every 3 holes. That was such a great service especially since it was 110 degrees.

The course was in good condition. The front nine layout is OK; however, the back nine layout throughout the mountains is great. The staff in the Pro Shop, Starter and Cart Shed were all very friendly.

Nice hidden gem in Mesa. The layout is not boring, good conditions, not difficult, short course and good value.

The back nine layout is one of the best in the valley. The fairways were in good condition. Unfortunately, the greens were terrible (spongy, dry, and bare in some places). We were able to complete the round in 3 hours. Fortunately, the Marshalls patrolled the front nine to keep up the pace.

We played on Saturday (7/31) and it took over 5 hours to finish the round. From the 5th hole, there were always 2 groups waiting on the tee box. Sometimes there were 3 groups on the tee. We saw the Marshall several times on the back nine; however, he said he couldn't do anything about it. Usually, they have 80 golfers per day; however, there were 165 golfers. The reduced the green fees so there were too many golfers. They should not have overbooked the course. The other groups that were waiting on the tee box with us were angry too. It was one of the most miserable days of golf I have ever had in my 45 years of playing golf.

It is a fun course with a unique layout that is not boring.
However, you will need a GPS because there are many blind holes with lakes and washes. Unfortunately, the pace was slow. There was one group that was holding up several groups. We had to call the Marshall to speak to them. It didn't help much so we had to skip hole #11 to pass the slow group. It was a good thing we passed them because when we were teeing off on #16 we could see that slow group on the #12 green.

Good course layout, nice greens and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the pace of play was slow and there were no Marshals on the course. Also, the grass on the sides of the fairway were hard.

We teed off at 11:00 and finished in 2 1/2 hours. The course was in good condition.

The staff was extremely friendly. They drive around the course and provide cold towels and at the end of the round. We played in 2 1/2 hours. The course layout is very good with mature trees, ponds and streams. We played this course 3 weeks ago and it was in excellent shape. They just verticut the fairways and fringe around the greens. Unfortunately, the grass did not grow back in many places. Hopefully, the grass will grow back soon.

By the 3rd hole, the group infront of us was 2 holes behind the next group. We called the Pro Shop to send a Marshall to ask them to play faster. They refused to send anybody. By the end of the round, the group in front of us were at least 4 holes behind. We would wait on the same tee as the group in front and they would not let us play through. The groups behind were getting upset too. It was 100 degrees and it made it worse when you have to wait on every shot. We later assumed that the slow group were probably members and the Staff did not want to upset them.
The course layout was fun. The conditions were good except for some sections of the green were dried out.

The fairways and greens were in good condition. The rough was sparse and inconsistent. The course needs more water. The front nine pace was very good; unfortunately, the back nine was extremely slow.

The fairways, rough and greens were in excellent condition. The layout was great since every hole was different. You would never have known this was a Municipal Golf Course

This course was in great shape. The course is challenging and fair. The views are amazing.
