Challenging & good condition but keep it in play!

Course is in excellent shape, aerating next week! so wait a while. Staff is great; marshals should spot balls with slow groups-not just tell them "your are behind"... (not us) this will help them play faster. Greens are good, fast, true. They do a great job there for all the play. Bag drop guys should be sure to fill divot mix on the carts. Conditions are close to some private clubs! Should have a dress code, though. Bartenders are nice- Jarrod and Shannon-good job by the beer cart, too!

Words, even pics cannot describe...

Old Head may be the most spectacular course in the world.... certainly the most amazing and challenging I have ever seen or played. Views are unbelievable on EVERY hole. Th entire course is 250-300 ft. above the ocean. Staff and caddies were awesome. Ireland is windy but this was off the charts for wind!! You better practice your your low ball shots, even drives will blow like tissues on windiest days after the ball looses momentum. We threw tees straight down off the cliff in this pic and they blew over our heads like magic. The greens and fairways were as nice as Pine Valley. Words and pics cannot fully describe Old Head!!!

War Admiral and Man o War

Both courses offer a great diversity of challenge.... Admiral is parkland style, keep it play or in the trees. Man o War is a real Scotland/Ireland treat, but the bunkers and fescue will get you!!! They have done a great job there and they worked well with a group... deal could have been better but still good. Conditions were excellent.... never worried about a bad lie, greens were great, too. The bar was great for a group, sit down dinner one night of three was excellent; other nights were appys at the bar.... very, very good. Bartenders were very helpful with large group of 16. Great facility... has everything!

One of my faves

We have visited this resort since 1988; group of 12-24, been there 16 of the last 28 years. We have been to many great resorts and I can easily say this has been the best overall value. I am comparing this Harbortowne, Myrtle, Ocean City, MD, etc. People there take very good care of groups and I can say they all deserve the good tips from our guys. The key is the two courses: Mountain and Lake are really well kept (like a good private club) and offer a real challenge yet are two very different layouts.... greens have been awesome... fast! Rooms, food and service are good to great...The views and terrain changes are substantial...like very few places. I would go every year but as we get older, we want to try new venues.... but we will be back.
