Ute Creek Golf Course
Played On 07/20/2017watch for specials
This is a very good course, and worth the extra driving distance to the course.
Bring a couple of extra golf balls, because it is easy to loose a few on the several water hazards.
Beautiful surroundings, and hitting off the fairway is not too much of a problem, except on about 4 holes..
Sleeping Indian/Cottonwood at West Woods Golf Club
Played On 02/18/2016Please don't play here--I want the course all to myself
This is a fabulous course of 27 holes. The best 18 are the Silo and the Cottonwood nines.
I really hesitated telling anyone about how great this course is, because I want to keep it all to myself.

The sand traps were deplorable! Some traps were like mud, others crusted sand, others wet sand, but none of them were the same. In addition, the course needs new sprinkler system as it is dried out in spots, which left some play around the greens spotty at best. For example I used a pitch and run to the green, but the ball got hung up in some turf because there was a ban of grass that got watered a lot more than other parts of the course.
The course has a good layout. The staff is fantastic, but the grounds or maintenance people need to be fired. Also spend a bit more on your GPS system, so those of us who are not frequent players of your course can see proper approaches to the green, etc.
Colorado National Golf Club
Played On 07/31/2015all is not green
Although the course layout is very good, and the tees and fairways are in good shape, the greens were terrible. I mean really terrible. It seems no one aerated the greens or repaired the greens from winter kill.
I would avoid this course until they have repaired all of the greens.
I simply cannot believe that the University of Colorado has to use this as its home course. How embarrassing!
Pelican Lakes at Pelican Lakes Golf Club
Played On 9/10/2013great course, and a real challenge.
The course is beautiful. It is surrounded by several lakes, a lot of upscale homes and lots of open space [except when it comes to the fairways, which are a bit tight and water often comes into play.
Bring lots of extra golf balls, but loosing a few balls is worth the chance to play on a gorgeous yet challenging course.
Keep in mind that they have 27 holes of play, and you may want to opt for one of the 9 holw courses that does not run alongside lots of water.
Thorncreek Golf Club
Played On 5/22/2013This course has allowed crab grass to take over several fairways, and they have had a lot of winter kill that they have not replaced.
The course is very interesting and rather challenging, however, the grounds keeper is not doing his job.
