Herons' Reach Golf Resort
Played On 11/04/2018A mixed experience
Firstly, the course has an excellent layout and is well designed with plenty of water to tempt and tease you as you play. The course is in very good condition considering the amount of people using it and is fairly easy to score on as it is not long (from yellow tees). However the pace of play was horrendous, for a relatively short course us it took over 4 hours to play as a 2 ball, and we were basically waiting on every single shot (on the 3rd tee there was 3 other groups waiting to tee off). In addition, the man in the pro shop was unwelcoming and some of the other golfers attire and behaviour on the course did not adhere to normal regulations. Overall a nice course but not a good golf club.

Played On 11/01/2018A Mackenzie masterpiece
This course was one the first the great Dr. Alistair Mackenzie designed and I believe it was one of his finest. The way the course is made to make the most of the natural hazards and make great risk and reward, challenging golf holes is fantastic. I also believe that the owners are making sure much more of the river is visible and in the golfers mind by cutting back much of the foliage, which I think is a great was the preserve and improve the course. Finally the condition of the course was excellent and has one of the best holes in golf, the 16th, so is a absolute hidden gem and is a must play for anyone who amores great course architecture.
Dukinfield Golf Club
Played On 10/14/2018A pristine golf course
This is one of the best quality golf courses I have ever played, the fairways, semi-rough and bunkers were emasculate with the only bad points on the greens being they were a tad too slow but were very receptive. The course also offers a wide array of great holes each offering a different challenge, with the 8th and 14th holes being my favourite. Couple this with the beautiful views over the moors seen from the higher holes makes for one of the nicest courses I have ever played.

Played On 09/09/2018A undulating parkland
Firstly the pro shop was well stocked and the pro was very friendly and helpful, the putting green, clubhouse and the area around the clubhouse were all very well done with nice flowers bushes and shrubs.the quality of most of the course was superb, with the greens being near enough perfect. But the some of the tees were poor quality , which was the only downside of a otherwise beautiful course. The layout of the course was superb with no two holes the same, with the highlight being the par3 10th over a beautiful pond. Overall a beautiful course and a must play in the greater Manchester area.
Didsbury Golf Club
Played On 08/03/2018A Pleasant parkland course
Firstly the clubhouse, pro shop and the staff were all very nice. The practice facilities at the club are extensive, with three practice grounds a putting green and practice nets. The Course has a very interesting layout, not just the standard up and down fairways side by side like some other courses like Didsbury. The course was in perfect condition with the greens fast but also soft to pitch the ball onto. The only negative is the noise from the motorway but that is the same with many courses in the area. Overall a excellent quality parkland course overlooking the Mersey.
Seahouses Golf Club
Played On 05/29/2018A beautiful cliff course
The clubhouse is mainly just a bar/cafe and the professional doesn't look to be there very often. There is also a good putting green and practice net near the car park. The first two holes are near the cliffs and then you go over the road to play 6 holes, these are nice holes with meandering streams and ponds. The rest of the holes are played by the cliffs, with beautiful views across the coast with multiple opportunities to hit one into the North Sea. The feature hole is the 10th where you have to play your shot all the way across a beautiful lake (coastal inlet). Overall a lovely short course and cheaper than nearby Dunstanburgh/ Bamburgh
Buxton & High Peak Golf Club
Played On 05/07/2018A course of unusual features
Firstly the clubhouse is very pleasant, there was a practice net towards the back of the car park and a nice putting green on top of a hill next to the clubhouse. The tees were mostly in good condition, with a few being slightly disappointing. The greens had a top dressing applied to it which we got a discount for, but they weren't too bad. The fairways and semi-rough were both in excellent condition. The course has many interesting features and obey the BEWARE THE QUARRY signs as the quarries are very much in play. Overall a tricky course to play first time as driver is not always the best option but a very pleasant course with excellent views over the surrounding peak district

Played On 04/29/2018A course of great water features
Firstly there is two putting green one either side of the clubhouse and two practice nets. The conditions of the fairways and the semi-rough were very good with both being nice to hit from. The greens were receptive and were in excellent condition. But the best part of the course was the crisp beautifully finished streams and ponds which were carefully placed throughout the course. Overall a beautiful course defined by its wonderful water features
Stand Golf Club
Played On 04/03/2018An Undulating Course
Firstly the practice facilities are excellent, there is two practice nets, a putting green and a chipping green. The tees on the course were excellent and many offered great views of the surrounding area. The fairways and semi-rough were in great condition and there was thicker rough to catch the stray shot. No two holes were the same with underrating fairways and large dips in many. the greens were again excellent. A small issue is that there were only 2 Par 3's and the bunkers needed more sand as they were too hard. But other than that a very enjoyable round on a beautiful course.
Denton Golf Club
Played On 03/25/2018A course of varying holes
The clubhouse and surrounding area re very nice and the professional is friendly. the practice facilities were very good, with a nice practice putting green and pratice net. The golf course was operating mats on fairways but the course was still lovely to play. The greens were very receptive and a good pace, there is very nice ponds as well as a lovely meandering stream throughout the course and beautiful poplar trees surrounding some the the greens. The on bad of the course was the bunkers as they were very hard and didn't have too much sand in them. but other than that a very pleasant course I would recommend to anyone
Brookdale Golf Club
Played On 12/30/2017A course of great water features
The course is a very good challenge with lovely features, especially the river medlock running through the course. The greens and fairways are in great condition and the rough is only long in areas not to close to the fairway. The lower section of the course by the river has a good selection of holes, many playing over the river. Overall the best part of the course is the Par 3's with great elevation changes and shots over water.
