Not worth the hassle

Played with our league; mostly senior golfers. League director called ahead and was told that fall rates would be in effect. When we arrived, we were told that the fall rates didn't kick in until the afternoon (despite being given a 10:00 tee time). No flexibility by the owner - either pay up or leave. We had no good options so we decided to stay.

Despite the great reviews, the course was vanillla - long wide fairways, a few challenging holes, and NO TREES on a very hot day. We have played 17+ courses this season and as far as challenge, Totteridge wouldn't even make the top ten. As far as a respectful staff, it was rock bottom.

If you want to pay a boatload of money to play a mediocre course that isn't easy to get to for most in the Pgh area, and feel like you don't deserve to be there unless you look like you could live in one of the $.5 million homes ringing the course, then this is is the course you've been dying to play. Otherwise, you might want to try Lenape, Stoughton Acres, Lake Arthur, or any one of the dozen other courses that we played this year for a much better experience.

As the league director said when we were leaving, "Guys, don't leave anything of value behind, because we are never coming back."
