I believe this is South Australia’s best country golf course. I would rank it in the best six clubs in the state and I have played all the top courses in Adelaide .
Wide fairways, great conditions and nice scenery,
Definitely worth a drive from Adelaide.

Sadly this course is in bad shape with only 9 of its 18 holes open.
The course layout was great, it once would have been a really good golf course.

The course was in good condition tee to green.
If you stray off line it will make you pay. Great clubhouse.

Penola is a great place to stop a have a round of golf. Midweek you will probably have the course to yourself.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to play this course.
It doesn’t have the greatest layout, probably only 3 good holes on the course.
The course was in reasonable condition, just expected more from a town of this size.

I played this course on my 50th birthday and had so much fun on the unique layout.
There were huge elevation changes, tight fairways, layups off the tee block, carry’s over ravines and a shot over the ocean .
Fury creek has incredible scenic views of the ocean along with a brilliant package of par3 holes.
You may want to bring some extra balls as the rough is punishing.
Enjoy this golf course for what it is… different, challenging, beautiful and fun.

This is an amazing golf course , with incredible views of Nicola lake.
It is hard to believe this course actually closed down for a few years because it’s so good.
There is some serious elevation changes on this course, with a lot of forced carry’s and some blind tee shots, the par 3’s are really awesome . It is a real challenge but fun.
Sagebrush would have to have the largest greens I have ever seen on a golf course.
If you get the chance take this course on.

This is a truly magnificent golf course. There is so much room to let rip with the driver on most holes.
There really is a lot of incredible golf holes at Jasper and the scenery is beautiful with mountains and poplar trees in the background.
A couple of memorable par 3’s with pyramid mountain as a backdrop.
Go to Jasper you will not be disappointed. The town, the Icefields Parkway and the golf course are unforgettable.

I recently travelled to Canada on a golfing holiday.
I played some great courses including Jasper, Banff Springs, Sagebrush, Greywolf, Stewart Creek, Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Silvertip, Furry Creek and both Mt Kidd and Mt Lorette courses at Kananaskis Country Golf Course. In 2017 I was also lucky enough to play Tobiano.
Kananaskis Country Mt Lorette golf course is the greatest course I have ever played. I really don’t understand why scoregolf, the pga of Canada and Golf writers have not included Lorette in the top 10 in Canada..it should be!
There are no negatives to Lorette..it has incredible mountain scenery with flowing water, majestic ponds and stunning trees that frame every hole perfectly. The course has immaculate fairways, great bunkers, fast running greens, with a fantastic layout of simply unforgettable golf holes. Everything works perfectly together here..an excellent bunch of par 3’s, challenging par 4’s and long par 5’s.
Kananaskis Country is the ultimate place to play 36 amazing golf holes with its fantastic and friendly staff, great practice facilities, an awesome clubhouse, delicious food and an incredible outdoor patio overlooking the two magnificent courses.
If you haven’t yet played at Kananaskis, I would highly recommend putting it on your ‘must play’ list for the 2023 season. You won’t regret it!.

Excellent conditioned mountain golf course with scenic views. The 9th hole was a definite standout.
I wasn’t blown away by any other holes at Stewart Creek although they were all nice.

I first laid eyes on the Mt Kidd course in 2017 during the restoration from the terrible flood of 2013. From that moment, I knew I had to play this course at least once in my lifetime.
I returned to Canada to play Mt Kidd in 2022 and it lived up to all my expectations and then some.
The setting for these two great courses in Kananaskis just can’t be beat. The grandeur and imposing presence of Mt Kidd really takes your breath away. The combination of crystalline running streams and the pristine mountain vistas, creates the idyllic setting for a round of golf.
Kidd was in fantastic condition from tee to green. A challenging but fair course with plenty of space off the tee. Hole 4 was the greatest par 3 I have ever played and probably ever will. It was totally amazing!
Hole 16 was another ripper Par 3 with stunning views.
This course contains many other magnificent golf holes with a great variety of both short and long par 4’s and a fantastic long par 5 closing hole.
The facilities here are first class, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and that clubhouse patio…the very best I experienced from the ten courses I played whilst in Canada.
If you want a golfing experience that fulfils your golfing desires, captures your heart and leaves a lasting impression, then Kananaskis is that special place.

This is a true mountain golf experience, with dramatic elevation changes and incredible views of Canmore’s Rocky Mountains.
The course was challenging with some really extreme lies, but it was in excellent condition.
Hole 18 is a really spectacular way to finish a round of golf.

This course definitely lives up to its rating.
Beautiful scenery with wide open fairways and perfect greens.

This is a visually stunning golf course with magnificent and challenging, but fair, golf holes.
Everything about Greywolf is excellent..from the friendly staff, the clubhouse, the merchandise and the food.

After reading some earlier reviews on this course, I had high expectations that this was a must play while in Whistler.
Whilst the course was good it wasn’t great.
The par 3’s where very good , but most of the other holes lacked the wow factor I was looking for.
The course was in great condition with really fast greens.

Jacks point is truly a truly stunning place to play golf, the views of the mountains and lakes are spectacular.
The pro shop provided inch over clubs which can be hard to find when hiring clubs. The course is challenging with elevation changes and thick rough although the fairways are generous and in magnificent condition.
The course layout is fantastic, with some of the most amazing golf holes I have ever played.
Jacks point truly breathtaking, can’t wait to go back.
