We play this course every September on our way back home to Florida. We were pleasantly surprised this year with the course conditions. The Tee Boxes have improved from the past few years. The Greens have made a fantastic recovery. No visible fungus or bare spots, mowed close and VERY slick. The fairways and roughs were mowed close but still have significant Crabgrass. The layout is traditional links with 6 tee positions. This is a fun course to play with not many tricks. Play it, you will enjoy it.

The layout is good and easy to follow. This course is really compact in a links style. I did not see one bunker or trap that has any sand in it. It appears their intention is to let them all grow in with weeds, not grass mind you. The only saving grace is the greens. Really good condition compared to the rest of the course. Fairways were mowed close but the rough is mostly weeds. This is a $20 course anywhere except where it’s located. Really for $35 I expected much better.

Madison is an older course that has been upgrade throughout its history. The course is landlocked between the Southend of Peoria and West Peoria. The course is very straightforward with no need for trick shots or tribal knowledge to score well. If you play Fairways & Greens you will score well enjoy this short, quaint course.

Lots of bare ground just off the fairways. No Trick Shots required here. Pretty short course. Greens were in decent shape considering no one that plays here repairs their ball marks. Not that great of a deal at $25.

What a great course. It truly is a hidden gem. Straight forward, no tricks or surprises just a nice course with open fairways. Lots of undulations along the way and the greens have their fair share of breaks from undulations. The course was in great shape and the pace of play was really good (3-1/2 hour round) but there was no one in front of us throughout the entire round. Play this one. You’ll be glad you did.

This course is very mature but well maintained. A lot of beginners come to this course so expect delays. We followed a foursome, waiting every shot, from hole 2 until they let us through on 7. Under normal circumstances an average golfer can complete the round in 3-1/2 hours easily. No tricks, no blinds, no up & downs or undulations. Pretty straight forward layout with generous fairways and average size greens. Good value with GolfNow.

We (3 players) played this course on a Wednesday in the 11:00am time slot. We actually got off 20 minutes early and did not see a group in front of us until the 13th hole. We waited a few times but the pace of play was good generally. The course was green, plush and very soft. The course uses reclaimed water, and a lot of it. Don't expect a lot of roll out on this course and any approach shot hit short of the greens will remain short. The course is relatively short even from the tips. Most holes are pretty straight forward but there are a few blind tee shots to contend with. The Lady's get a gracious advantage on most holes unless you are playing the Senior Tees. Most of the Senior and Lady's Tees are together. The greens are elevated and small. Miss them short and you will roll back down. Miss them long and you will be testing that short game. Once on the green you will be wishing you had that extra pancake for breakfast. These greens are slooooow. You really need to use 'The Hammer of Thor' just to get to the hole. Greens were recently mowed but need to be double or triple rolled to make them genuinely puttable. Lots of putts kind of takes the fun out of the game. All in all it's a great little layout that plays well from tee to green, not through green. If you are within 20 miles it will be worth the time to play this one. Afterwards stop in and see Stacey for a bite to eat and a beverage of choice. Great service and very pleasant.

Course was in very good condition, plush and green. The signage from the parking lot to the Pro Shop are non existent. We had to ask how to get there but it was okay. Course is in great shape considering the lack of rainfall this winter. All the lakes are very low due to irrigating but didn't effect play. Pretty straight forward play and you can see most of the greens from the tee box. Played from the Green Tees (tips) which added some challenging tee shots. Wife played from Red Tees which gave her a 70-100 yard advantage on every hole. Greens rolled nicely and true. It appears no one repairs their ball marks. I fixed 2-3 on every green just to have a playable putt. I'm guessing it was that way because we played with the hackers in the afternoon. All in all this was a good deal on Golf Now and the next time we are in the area we will try to score another Golf Now deal at this course.

Played here on a Wednesday at 1:07. Course was busy for a week day but pace of play was tolerable. Course is a typical 'Old Florida Course' meaning it is compact and relatively short. No trick shots needed but you need to hit the ball straight off the tees. Course was in good condition and the greens rolled medium and true. At $25 per round it was a good day playing.

Maybe the expectations were too high from the onset. The person that checked us in wanted to charge us again for the tee time even though we had paid in advance on line. It took another person to get that fixed. The course was nice but the area is lacking in rain fall and the roughs were long and shaggy. Greens were in good shape and pin placement was fair. When we got to the 1st tee there was a 5some on the tee allegedly playing for $5/hole but should have been playing for nickles. Another 5some was behind us. Play was extremely slow! At the turn we dashed into the bar to get a drink. To our surprise the staff ignored us for several minutes. We did not want to end up behind the group behind us so we headed for 10. Then on 10 they put a 2some between us. Oddly they were wearing jeans and tee shirts. This ended up being a 5-1/2 hour round for us. Way too long. There are too many better choices in this area, take one of them.

Visiting from Florida and always enjoy playing away from home. This is a great course that requires accurate shot placement to score well. If you are in to swinging hard in case you make contact or spray and pray tee shots you are going to have a long day and need lots of balls. Take the time to visit the course website and take the course tour. It will help a lot. If you leave the driver in the bag and use something you can place shots with you will love this course. Great elevation changes, a couple of blind shots and challenging small greens. Enjoy.

This us a very well established mature course. It is quite long from the white tees. Course was in excellent conditions and the greens were plush and true. All but one par 3 was around 180 yards and most of the par 4s were around 410. This us a must play trac if you are visiting the Greater Peoria, IL, area.

This is a nice trac with some challenging holes. The course was well maintained and very plush. Greens were true and medium speed. The course is not well marked for where the next tee is. We ended up playing 15 twice as we didn't know where 12 actually was. Great value for the $14.00 fee we paid with cart.

This is a great public trac with wide open fairways. The greens roll true and medium. The course gets a lot of play and was full on a Tuesday afternoon. Play was a little slow but should be expected when the course is full. Overall a great value through GolfNow.Com
