Alaqua Country Club
Played On 05/30/2015This is what a private club should be
Being a new member of this club and having memberships at other courses, this is what a private club should be. Members and guests have the luxury of private carts for each player and there is no waiting on this course. We finished our 18 holes in just under 3 hours. Renovated greens are rolling on the average of 11 on the stimpmeter and course always in great shape. Very tight golf course with fairly small greens. A Gary Player Signature Design course has all the characteristics of his other golf courses as driving the ball is at a premium. Fairly short course so if you get it on the fairway, you will score well. Fast becoming my favorite club in Central Orlando.
The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes
Played On 05/09/2015Nice resort course
RC resort course plays fast compared to other resort courses. Greens are extremely fast and tend to roll true in the morning. With guest play greens can get bumpy in the afternoon. Golf facility is first rate with excellent practice facilities. Good idea to use a caddy around the course as they are great for reading correct yardages and greens. The only disappointment was the 19th hole restaurant and bar. Seems to be more closed than open. Really odd hours of operation. Plus very expensive for non resort guests.
Bella Collina Golf Club

It was a little difficult finding the golf course but it was worth the drive just outside of Orlando. One of the few courses in Central Florida that has elevation changes throughout the golf course. Will use all the clubs in your bag. I believe there are 6 sets of tees for every level of golfer. Greens were rolling true but need to read grain of grass as it can get visually challenging on the greens. We played on a weekday which was a great value for the money. The club is private but are allowing outside play until the membership is full. Definitely going back. FYI wait till you see the clubhouse....wow.
