Olympia Hills Golf Course
Played On 12/20/2020Horrific greens
I’ve played here many times over the years and the greens are as bad as I’ve ever seen them. Why would y’all not roll them if they are in that bad of shape? I would recommend saving your money and playing elsewhere for a good while. They are bad enough where they won’t be fixed for a while.
Also, no marshal or starter and the pace of play was pretty bad. Over 5 hour round
Kissing Tree Golf Club
Played On 05/13/2019Very nice track
Great course, and I suspect it will only get better as it has more time to grow in. Course just opened last year and I think it took them a little longer than expected to get the greens and fairways where they wanted them (played it last year and it had a little ways to go), but it’s really improved since the last time I played it. Look forward to coming out again!
The Golf Club of Texas
Played On 09/21/2017Awesome course, especially for the price
This course has become one of my favorite tracks in Texas for the money (important to keep that last part in mind :)). Greens are firm, but fair, and have been in great shape last 2 times I've played. My only complaints with the course are the shape of the bunkers (really need to add some sand) and that they don't have a cart girl on the course very often. Other than that it is a very solid track.
Side note- I'm a 5 handicap, which I normally wouldn't state, but I think it's relevant so you know I've played a lot of golf in my life. I just want to try and keep this little gem open!
Vaaler Creek Golf Club

I've played this course before and was impressed but I forgot just how good it is. For the money, it's one of the best public courses on the planet. I'm not exaggerating. I've played public golf all around Texas and the U.S. For $55, you won't find a nicer, better maintained, quality golf course.
Greens were in unbelievable shape when I was there on 4/22/15.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. My name is Michael Olde and I'm the Pro Shop Manager at Olympia Hills. While course condition is always a high priority at any golf course, we have not been immune to the high number of play most courses face. For the last two years the course has made the decision not to "over seed" to allow the greens to return more naturally in the spring. Playability still remains for the most part, though the aesthetics of the course are not up to par. We hope you give us another chance in the future, please send an email to molde@olympiahillsgolf.com to further discuss. Have a great day!
