Fun course, great value, good condition, rude Marshall.

This was my first time playing this course and I highly recommend!

The course was in good condition for this time of year. Speed of the greens were quick and great to play on. Cart was great and the range was great as well.

ONLY negative experience was with the Marshall. For context, we were in a foursome, pushing the foursome ahead of us and being pushed by the TWOSOME behind us. We were on the green on the 5th hole and the Marshall passed us. We were walking to our carts when he came back to us after talking to the twosome behind us. He waves his hand, as if he was ushering us to our carts and says something like, “come on, move along. Pace is too slow.” I responded with “we’ve been waiting on the foursome in front of us.” (Figured he was complained to from the twosome behind us, so I was speaking to that.) He responded with, “they already teed off!” I hope they had teed off in the time it took us to hit our approach shots and putt out. A couple people and him start talking over each other and he turns around and leaves. Thing is, they place a sheet on the cart that outlines your expected pace of play and we were 20 minutes ahead of schedule. We finished the round over 10 minutes ahead of schedule.

I get it, as a Marshall you should encourage pace of play, but the way he approached us was unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. The way he spoke to us made a huge difference in the enjoyment of our experience. It instantly took a relaxing, enjoyable round and put us all on edge, constantly worrying about our pace of play and if he’d be coming around the corner, which he never did again.

I’ll be back, because I truly enjoyed the course and facilities, but hope I do not encounter him again.

Fun course to play! Definitely a must golf.

I played Iron Horse for the first time today. The course is a lot of fun! Tee box conditions were ok, seemed to be oddly uneven, but the greens were in great condition. Fairways were in okay condition, and the traps were basically straight dirt. The steering on both carts seemed messed upped and mine had a cracked rim, but the gps worked well.

Layout of the course was a lot of fun and all the staff were very friendly. I’ll definitely be back!

Great course that is continuing to improve.

I frequent this course and it has been improving consistently since new management took over this spring. They are working hard to upkeep landscaping as well as keep costs reasonable. Of course, it’s hard to over come Texas summer heat, but tee-boxes, fairways and greens were in good shape considering.

I thoroughly enjoy this course and recommend it.
