Sterling Hills Golf Club

The course was well maintained except for the lack of sand in the bunkers. The staff was friendly. The snack bar is nominally priced with a beverage cart circulating around the course. I thought the greens fee was high for the course comparing it to other courses in the area.

It was an enjoyable 9 holes. I would have liked to have played more but the west is suffering s very cold period. The temperature was ok but the wind chill discouraged more play. The discount that I got through my booking site was well worthwhile. I look forward to playing it again next winter when I return.
Lakes/Canyon at Blacklake Golf Course

My wife and I played 18 on the Lakes 9 and the Canyons 9. The Lakes was the better of the two. There is a 3rd 9 also. The layout was interesting and fun. All of the greens were excellent.

At half the price it would have been fair. Better value at nearby courses, Morro Bay, Dairy Creek, Chalk Mountain, or Paso Robles GC.
