Escena Golf Club
Played On 07/31/2014A delight.
Great course. Fairways forgiving and greens run true which allows for a good score so long as you can hit the hole. Try Escana and you will walk away satisfied!
Shadow Ridge Golf Club
Played On 07/07/2014Bunkers Galore
Bunkers at the 200 yd mark is unforgivable from a design and player fairness perspective. Most fairways are severely sloped especially when you hit your approach shot to the green. The course layout will unfortunately take a good shot and turn it into a bad shot. Greens had many undulations which makes single putts very rare. The tee boxes weren't bad and offered many options based on skill level. Glad to say that water was available on even holes. It would be nice to have ice making machine on some of the even holes. This is very important because of the heat in July.
Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course
Played On 06/23/2014Mission Accoplished
Typical Pete Dye course with rolling hills and well bunkered greens. Course was not long but just right. Greens were nice a good size but pretty straight overall. If you keep your shots straight you will have a good round.
Mission Hills - Gary Player Course
Played On 06/20/2014Player Perfect
My wife and I had an excellent day. Course was excellent considering the temperature. Greens were very fast, fairways more than fair and pace of play perfect. We will definitely return for another round.
Woodhaven Country Club
Played On 05/11/2014Mother's Day on the links.
The course provided the right ingredients for celebrating Mother's Day with my wife with one of her cherished pastimes "Golf". She really enjoyed the course layout as the fairways were more than forgiving plus some very challenging holes. The best part was it allowed us to complete our round under 3.5 hours. The breakfast special offered after the round was a real treat. Overall, excellent value for our money when booking through GofNow.com.
Rancho Mirage Country Club
Played On 6/21/2013This course has great views of Rancho Mirage and the valley. Plenty of cold water on every 3rd hole. Staff very accommodating and customer focused.
RMCC is a great hidden gem. The course is well maintained and has all the options open to all type of players. You can warm up on the driving range and practice putting. No limit on the numb of balls you use. The driving range uses real grass not rubber or artificial grass. The Tee boxes present various challenges. The fairways and traps are well tried and raked by its staff. In our opinion RMCC offers great value for your money without having to spend over 4 hours for a round. Give it try - you won't be disappointed!
Osoyoos Golf and Country Club - Park Meadows
Played On 9/22/2012An excellent day spent golfing with my wife.
Park Meadows was a fun and challenging round. The fairways were forgiving but the first cut was long so keep your eye on your shot. What I liked most was the fairway bunkers weren't set 200 yards out from the tee boxes. Of course the par 3's were sufficiently bunkered which they should be. The greens were well maintained. Putting challenged one's eye so most balls would roll in the direction of the lake. Took us a couple rounds to figure that out but we finally got the mystery solved. During the week a round would take no more than 4 hours other than Tuesdays and Thursdays when league played was scheduled. The driving range was included in the price so it was a definite stop before heading out. The Player's assistant was out on the weekends and was there to assist. He was friendly and helpful and actually came around to many foursomes looking for the owner of an abandoned putter. After the game we stopped for a light snack and refreshment. The restaurant staff and snack bar downstairs were very friendly. Also, the staff in the Pro Shop were very efficient and friendly. Danielle your the best! Overall when rating the experience and value to courses we have played in California, OGC's Park Meadows is a highly recommended course.
