Played On 07/28/2023Sanctuary Golf Club
Played On 03/02/2023Fun track but could use a Marshall
Love Sanctuary. Forgiving and fun layout. Great condition. Pace of play a little slow with no one out there to bump the groups along. Other than that can’t complain.
The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort
Played On 02/21/2023Great track. Could use a marshall to move people along
One of my favourites. Pace of play was okay but could have been better. No marshals on the course.
Back 9 is beautiful. Gnats are bad though near the marsh. Clubhouse closes early. Post round beer on the patio would be nice but it was closed.
The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort
Played On 02/02/2023Beautiful course
Love this place. Excellent layout. Tale of 2 nines as back nine out in the marshlands. Played in 3 hours. Great staff as well
Waterlefe Golf & River Club
Played On 12/04/2022Named properly
Lots of water but not always in play. Beautiful scenery. Boats and canals. Great conditions.
Will be back.
The Club Renaissance
Played On 12/03/2022Average layout. Excellent clubhouse
Course is forgiving and fair. In decent shape. Large fairways and greens. Average layout. Excellent food in clubhouse. Had a great dinner for very fair prices.
Northern Dunes Golf Club
Played On 11/02/2022Excellent value
Played in 3 hours. Course is in best shape I’ve ever seen it. Tight front 9 and wide open back 9. Country course that’s a lot of fun and great value
Hidden Lake Golf Club - Old Course
Played On 09/29/2022Millcroft Golf Club
Played On 08/24/2022Residential course with some good holes
Nice residential course that has short par 3’s and some surprisingly good par 4 and 5’s. 18 is a beauty.
Sanctuary Golf Club
Played On 03/31/2022Best greens and conditions
Excellent day at Sanctuary. Superintendent has done an amazing job with this course.
Staff are great. Pro shop reception very friendly.

Played On 03/30/2022Tale of 2 Nines
Loved this course for it’s character and it’s 2 different nines.
Front tree lined with homes not on top of you. #9 best hole on the front. Dogleg par 4 back to clubhouse and winds around the lake. Back 9 crosses bridges to 4 unique holes out on the marsh. #13 is a stunning golf hole and if the wind is in to you it can be a 3 shot approach at 391 yards from the blues.
Staff are super friendly and welcoming. This and Sanctuary are my favourites in the area.
Jekyll Island Golf Club - Oleander Course
Played On 03/29/2022No Carts, Walk and carry, Terrible condition
We knew going there that there were no power carts allowed on Oleander. They were all being used on the other 2 courses for a tournament. Didn’t expect no pull carts either. All being used again for the tournament. So my wife and I walked and carried.
First tee following a single. 4 practice swings, stretches and 3 breakfast balls. You know the Fowler commercial where the guy asks to play through? This is him. Followed him painfully for 5 holes and finally played through him on 6. He was holding up the golf course as a single! Never seen that before. No Marshall on the course. Likely all on the other 2 courses. We quit after 9 holes as continuing to carry on this course wasn’t worth it. Go to Tortuga Jacks patio on the island for a drink or some great Mexican food. Saved the day for us.
Course layout was quite good. Some nice holes. The course conditions were terrible. Rained hard 5 days ago. Course still wet. No drainage I guess.
Fairways were a mix of weeds, mud and some grass.
Greens were okay. Bunkers awful. Tee boxes worn out and patchy.
Go play Sanctuary Cove, King and Prince, Sea Palms instead of this. Brunswick too but it’s private.
Really disappointing for Jekyll Island. Looks like a tournament facility; not interested in walk up play. Maybe the other 2 are better but I have heard from others they are not. Coming back for 2 months next year but won’t be playing on Jekyll unless I hear of vast improvements.
Cheers, Carsce
Sanctuary Golf Club
Played On 03/23/2022Great greens and great pace of play
Played as a single following a 4 some which would usually be a nightmare. It wasn’t. Waited on shots of course but played in under 4 hours.
Open layout with big targets. Great par 3’s. Greens are excellent. Bunkers as well. Front is a little plain but back 9 is very good.
Pro shop reception from Chris was excellent.
Clubhouse staff very good. Hopefully I will be back next week.
Golf Club of Houston - Tournament Course
Played On 02/19/2022Great track and facility
Loved the course. Great greens and fun layout. Doesn’t beat you up but still challenging. Lounge afterwards was great with super service from F&B Manager. Calamari and shrimp pasta delicious. GolfNow deal at $65 was a steal. Don’t miss this place
Northern Dunes Golf Club
Played On 05/16/2020Great value country course
Some great holes set in a quiet country environment.
Course conditions such as fairway grass could be better but it’s good value for the price.
King's Forest Golf Course
Played On 07/19/2018Slow as Molasses
Brutal pace. No marshalls. Quit after 12 holes.
Won’t be back soon.
Dragon's Fire Golf Club
Played On 07/11/2018Great greens for public track.
Excellent layout. Greens very good just need more lazy golfers to fix ball marks.
Batteaux Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/29/2017Nice layout. Especially back 9
Good country course in good shape. Back nine was nicer than the front.
Great value for what you get. Better than Cranberry Village course.
