The last time I played this course was in July and the greens were in terrible shape, with two of them unplayable and a number of others in sad shape. I’ve always enjoyed playing here and I was pleasantly surprised to find the course not only playable again, but transformed into what it previously was. I found very little areas of some greens still recovering but it is apparent that the grounds crews are addressing their problems and are committed to full restoration. It is quickly becoming a 5 star course again...great job!

I’ve been playing this course since it opened and watched it evolve with a great new clubhouse and restaurant. Very few homes on the course so wildlife is present...likely you’ll see a few alligators here. Some challenging holes with tight fairways, strategically placed bunkers and tricky greens. Some bare areas on some fairways but all in all, good shape. Nice practice area and large putting green. There’s also a “tie breaker” 19th hole if needed.

This is one of my favorites but I haven’t played it in a long time because of the problems they’ve developed on the greens. I read the latest review that said they were coming back but they are still a long way from where they once were. Hole 1 has a temporary green in place and only a few of them are in decent shape. The rest are still on the mend. The rest of the course is in good shape with some tee boxes somewhat bare. It’s a shame the greens are so bad. I hope they get it back.

I’ve been playing this course for years and it still “stings” me sometimes...it starts off with easy holes and progressively gets tougher on the back 9. For now, you’ll only run across a few homes built near the course but there is some development coming in that will be adjacent to a few holes. Otherwise, you will only see natural Florida and its residents. The course is in good shape as well as the greens. Excellent club house with a great restaurant. One of my favorites.

I’ve been playing this course for years and the condition of most of the greens was surprising compared to the way they have been in the past. I took a chance after a long hiatus today and it was good to play it again but trying to figure out speeds on the greens was frustrating.

A favorite course situated on a busy private airport, where you might see anything from jets to warbirds. The course is in good shape with some redone paths, stairs up to an elevated tee box and good greens. The fairway grass is short, therefore some tight lies but definitely a nice place to play. We found the tee boxes in bad shape today...needs some attention.

Always a fun time and challenging here and there. Can be frustrating for higher handicap players, as there is a water hazard on most holes. Pace of play can fluctuate...sometimes 3 hours and others close to 5. Par 66 course gives a lot of opportunities for birdies but you have to be accurate with your shots.

I've been playing LPGA now for over 10 years and have always found it to be in excellent condition. The staff is great...always friendly and I have gotten to know many of them throughout the years. LPGA is an upscale course, so be prepared for higher prices but all in all, the experience here will be something you will thoroughly enjoy.

I've been playing this course pretty much since it opened 12 years ago and in the last 8 months, it has been sliding downhill at a pretty fast clip. I don't notice any maintenance people on the course at all and it shows. The greens are getting some spotting of crabgrass, tee boxes are getting scruffy and the lake has taken over the approach area on the first hole. Granted with the rains we've experienced, it's not the courses fault but I believe the elevation of this area should have been looked at closer when they designed and built it. Anyway, it was a favorite but I don't think I'll be going back unless the conditions improve. There are way too many golf courses in Central Florida to play ones that are not in good shape. Hope someone pays attention to the negative comments and does something to bring this course back to what it once was...and it once was spectacular.

This course has become one of my favorites. There are challenging holes as well as easy ones. The course winds through the woods and skirts the Tomoka River between the 9th and 10th hole, making the trip through there very scenic. You won't be disappointed with this course.

I was a bit surprised to get a call from the pro shop the morning of my scheduled play at 7 a.m. Madylyn informed me that my prepaid tee time was no longer available. She informed me that she moved my tee time back a half hour, from 1:00 to 1:30 because of a group being booked ahead of us. Well, we arrived early and went out to the range to hit some balls. The starter came over and asked us when our tee time was, since we weren't even on the sheet. He then told us the group they put in front of us was a group of 12, all resort guests with rental clubs. He had nobody on the sheet in front of them so he made the excellent call to send us out ahead of this group instead of making us wait. His decision made our day!. Kudo's to him; can't thank him enough. Nobody in front or behind us made for a very relaxing and most enjoyable day on this fine course.

Venetian Bay has been a favorite local course of mine for a few years now. Wide fairways are friendly to the novice golfer but well placed shots are a must on most holes to be able to score low. Greens are always in great shape as are the fairways and first cuts but you may lose a ball if you're 10 feet off the second cut...the rough is long and balls disappear easily so if you're headed in that direction, pay close attention to where you go in. Play it...you'll enjoy it.

Took advantage of a free Golf Now Rewards deal and played the course with two gentlemen from "across the pond". As always, this course is meticulously maintained and just enough of a challenge to keep the game interesting. Take advantage of the iced apples in the barrel on Hole 1 and 10.

Crane Lakes is one of my favorite "practice" courses close to home. Plenty of hazards and water on every hole make it a course you have to be careful on...errant shots will likely be wet but if you can hit the ball pretty straight, you'll enjoy this target course. If not, bring a few extra balls...
