First time playing here today. Long time central florida resident and have always talked about getting out to Deer Island. Very glad I did. Course was in fantastic shape. Challenging layout with water in play on almost every hole. But not unfair. One of the best values for golf in central florida. Not even a question. Will definitely be back

Fantastic course. Have played the Seaside course many times. First time on Plantation. Conditions were great. Feel like the greens were running slower than normal. A lot of short par 4’s that challenge your club and shot selection. You absolutely can not go wrong with Sea Island. One of my favorites areas for first rate golf.

I'm a Florida resident. I booked a tee-time for 4 through Golfnow for $59 per person for Sat September 14th. Unfortunately I had a late cancellation the night before and we ended up with just 3. Upon informing the proshop I proceeded to get scolded on how I should've called the night before and left them a voice message and that they were going to charge me an additional $39 cancellation fee. Needless to say I was very upset. The staff was as unfriendly as they can be. To top it all off the Florida resident rate for the day was $39 and that included lunch. So, not only did they threaten to charge me an additional $39 for a late cancellation after we had paid $20 more than the resident rate, but they also told me that they had no intention of honoring the resident rate.

This course is nice, but you can find better. The greens had been punched which made putting atrocious. Definitely not worth the $59 golfnow rate, almost not worth the $39 resident rate. I'll be playing Orange County national, Champions gate, or Falcons Fire before I set foot on this course again.
