Bison Golf - An Excellent Day on the course!

My wife and I played Bison Golf and Country Club on our anniversary. It was our first time at this particular course, so every hole was an adventure for us.
The staff were especially courteous and helpful which made our special day even more so!
Overall, the course played true, each hole had its own challenges, and the condition of the course was amazing! As we are really amateur golfers with high handicaps, playing Bison Golf was a ton of fun! The greens played true and the holes gave us quite a lot of fits and laughs. I would highly recommend this course to any golfers, even the low handicappers, as there are challenge holes all along the way.

Water Battle!

It was a typical cloudy and windy day in central Texas when my wife and I played Battle Lake Golf Course. The condition of the course was in winter mode, which was to be expected. The fairways were rough, the greens played pretty difficult, and the water was everywhere! (Everywhere I hit my ball anyway) Each hole was a different type of challenge with water in play on a good number of them (lake, pond, streams, etc.), and my golf balls love water!
The unfortunate weather condition for us was the wind. It created a disturbing side issue to the water features. If I was a more accomplished player, maybe it would not have made that much difference. As it was, my wife and I whacked a lot of golf balls, had a few good shots, and generally enjoyed the day. The staff in the Pro Shop were terrific, which may the day even better. We would go back again, especially after I purchase non-water seeking golf balls!

Texas Wind and Poor Shots

It was a cloudy day with some stiff wind when we played. The course was in winter mode and the fairways and greens were in need of moisture and tending. The course was good for us as we are not beginners, we just play like that. The main reason we keep playing is that we make some good shots and get excited! Making a par thrills us! We had a great time on the course and enjoyed the scenery around this area (we are from Arizona). Overall, it was a good day of golf fo rus.
