Forest Park Golf Course
Played On 03/29/2019Good Course
Was in good condition for the season. Layout looks like it can be tricky when trees are in full bloom. A few holes, especially 16,17,18 are very close together and will have people playing in every imaginable direction.
The Bridges Golf Club
Played On 12/30/2012Fun links-style course
Let me preface the review by saying that we played on 12/30, when the high was probably 41. My Dad was in town and I told him for his Christmas present I would take him golfing at the Tribute. It snowed on Tuesday (Christmas) and it hadn't melted by Thursday when we were supposed to play, so I booked a round at The Bridges.
It's a nice course, but the distance between one green to the next tee confuse me, sometimes it a minute or two on the cart to get to the next one. The fairways are lined by native grass, since it was winter you could easily find an hit your ball from the rough, I can't imagine what it would be like in the summer. Overall, there is a good variety of holes and terrain, great play for $30 on golfnow!
WestRidge Golf Course
Played On 11/12/2012Great Price on a MOnday afternoon
Just played Westridge yesterday. On the weekends, this is a $60+ course. During the weekdays after 1 you can typically play for $29. Great course for the weekday value and we were fortunate enough to hardly have anyone out there..barely saw anyone the whole time. Course is well maintained, plenty of space (no fairways right next to each other) and there is a cool small airport right near the course (planes come in to land right over your head). Very well maintained course, greens are tough..fairways are wide open.
The Club at Los Rios
Played On 11/5/2012Fall / Monday Round
I played this course a couple years ago and it was terrible. I played it once this summer and enjoyed it and most recently I played this past Monday. I selected course needs attention only based on the amount of leaves that were on the greens. The rest of the course was fine. I know that in the fall it is difficult to keep leaves off the green, but it was so bad on some greens you couldnt see the hole. All in all, for $10.99 (hot deal) or even $25 it's a good value for your money.
Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort
Played On 1/7/2012Not a typical AZ course
Booked this while I was in Phoenix on a short trip. I wanted to play somewhere that had a desert backdrop / landscape. I should have researched more. This course looks like your typical 1920-1930 California country club course. Eucalyptus lined fairways, not much elevation change and pretty wide open. Not a "Arizona" looking course. Pretty easy too.
