About

'Somer over here...Somer over there'!

I prefer pleasant weather golf, at least when it's nice if I hit a bad shot, or have a blow-up-wheels off the wagon entire hole...i can justify...at least the weathers good!

I try to be serious but...at the end of the day, 18 holes later & I'm just not 'that good'. I need more practice, I need a coach, I could stand to watch a few more golf lesson videos or at least re-watch the ones I already have!

Can I hit a 300 yd drive...maybe once a year, high desert air & lots of roll!

I enjoy playing golf & I'd like to get better...so until...I'll keep getting excited about the 1 or 2 semi-great shots I manage to hit per round.

Current clubs in the bag are Ping ISIK (1998), Callaway 3+, Taylor Made r5 Driver.

Play from the Tips

Located in the Pope Valley this 9-hole golf course is intriguing. Very well suited club house, looks brand new. Very nice locker room with full amenities. The food service area looked very nice, WoodStone Pizza oven, Esspesso Machine...the works. (Food service operation was closed on my visit.)

The course length is moderate, (from white tees) too tempting to hit driver on the Par 4's when only 220 yd 3 wood will keep you out of the many gullies and drainage run-offs. If you like hitting a driver, head on back to the Blue Tees and you'll really enjoy some great views along with some challenging second shots into the greens. Ensure you stop off at the putting green and don't under estimate the break!

Love the weather here in the Greater Napa Valley Vineyard Region during November...quite possibly habit forming. So-long from NW Washington.

Pretty as the picture

Course condition was excellent. Very light play given the season. Pull out the driver & swing away, fairways are very forgiving.

Great off-season value.

Still working on your game? This course won't penalize you for that! Easy to follow, lots of room for the driver and plenty of creative shots to be had.

Course has great character...not a gimme!

Played recently after the Dec. 1st rainy weather...Course was well maintained and handled the water very well. Greens had recently been plugged but didn't impede the experience.
Checked rates on GolfNow and got a Smoke'n Hot Deal for 2 @ Noon.
Thanks for a great day on the course!
