Driving up to the course you are greeted with a beautiful view of Canyon Lake and then you see the green for hole 2 and quickly question if you made a mistake. The staff is beyond friendly and I’m sure the reasoning behind the courses faults extends past them. The tee boxes to begin with are basically just your backyard grass, very hard, very patchy and same can be said about the fairways (if you wanna call them that) it’s basically just run of the mill grass that is in an awkward state of growth, seems to short for maintenance to cut but way to high and patchy for anyone actually playing. Now on to the greens.... yep that’s it.. not much to write home about. Very dry, a lot of dirt / cracked greens, the speed varied between holes but I do note that the practice green is just as bad as the greens out on the course so +points for having them match. To end this review, I say it has potential due to the fact it’s in a beautiful spot, has great views, but just seems like management or ownership needs to be evaluated. Had the course conditions been at least decent or at the very least the greens were puttable I’d play here a lot more, but in reality it seems like it’s not really a priority to keep it updated and to put it blunt playable at all.
