Lakewood Country Club
Played On 09/02/2019Great layout
Course is older so the greens are very small. This course is challenging
Spring Meadow Golf Course
Played On 12/16/2015Not a bad course
Looks like those burnt up fairways and greens are gone. The course is playing on the fast side since the rough has been cut so short. For some reason this course gets bad reviews I guess don't play in the summer Winter is the way to go
Gambler Ridge Golf Club
Played On 07/18/2015Great course for the money
There is a lot of nice things to say about gamblers ridge, first off it's very wide open not many holes are lined with trees.. The Par 3,s are short and there are a handful of short Par 4,s Good iron play will certainly reward you on this track be careful of the water they do a nice job hiding the water hazards especially on the back 9 . The greens are what you would expect for this price range a few bare spots and some ball marks scattered throughout . This is one of the easiest places to play in the area with a low slope and rating You should score low numbers on this course .. The price deference between sat and Sunday are a little asinine I'm not sure who sets the tee boxes but a few times they put them so far back In the box you back foot is on the ruff ..
Blue Heron Pines Golf Club
Played On 10/26/2014Great place to play if you get a good deal
I played 18 holes on a Sunday morning and all in all I was very pleased. The numerous amounts of tea boxes make it playable for a wide variety of different skill sets. The greens run true and fast! The one downfall the course never really felt secluded you really felt like you were always in someone's backyard
Cedar Creek Golf Course
Played On 10/08/2014Very slow greens, Stay on the fairway & bring your own food
What can you say for a municipal course its well it's an okay course and a great deal if you live in this municipality. It's a must to book on golf now..there non resident rates are outrageous $$$. Bring a few extra balls your guaranteed to have rough lies
Ocean County Golf Course at Forge Pond
Played On 06/14/2014Great little course for iron play
At first look forge pond can look a little dwarfed being a par 60 it doesn't appeal to the masses. But it's actually a very challenging course that will certainly test your iron play. With small greens and tree lined fairways forge pond is challenging to all handicaps. The course is well taking care off for a county course. It's easy to walk and the pace of play is always pretty good. Also a great place to golf with your kid or wife .. Make sure your bring plenty of balls it's easy to slap two or three into the woods .
