fast, smooth greens

Course was in decent shape, thin fairway grass in places. However the greens were awesome, somewhere around ten or eleven on the stimp Meter. Lots of movement, a real challenge. We played in 4 hours, other 3 guys expressed the same opinion about the greens. My only negative throughout the whole day.....the bagman upon arrival, was in la,la, land. Pleasant enough, but put bags on the wrong carts, I tipped him 2.00, he didn't even say thanks. However, the rest of the experience was worth the few minutes to move around 8 golf bags into their proper positions on the carts. We will be back.

great value for the $

This course is probably the best conditioned, and best value for the $ in the entire Ottawa Valley area.
The greens were mint, the fairways carefully manicured, even the tee boxes were still in good shape after a busy summer. The holes are quite unique, especially on the back nine. The staff were friendly, and the service great. Well done DragonFly you gave us a great day.

Hello Don,

So sorry it has taken us a bit to respond to your amazing post. We have been working double time with all our summer students gone back to school.

No arguments in regards to any of your comments. We are so proud to having "mint greens" our greens crew take pride in everything and anything they do on the course.

You are very welcome for giving you a great day! This is what we are all about. Giving you and every other golfer an amazing experience. We look forward to having you back soon!

Combination of Narrow fairways and small greens

Decent Track, very narrow in places, give-up the driver once in awhile, plenty of dog legs. Nice set of 3 pars. Only real negative....18th green. A narrow horseshoe around a bunker. Difficult to hit. All in all the more you play there.....the better you can manage your way around.

Maybe the best track in eastern ontario

Opened in 1991, this course won Golf Digest's award for best new course for that year. It was designed by one of Canada's best known architects Ton McBroom. Camelot recently hosted the Canadian Amateur Champioship. The course is build on varied terrain overlooking the Ottawa River. The front nine is fairly flat and it has a links quality. The back nine has dramatic elevation changes and tree-lined fariways.
The course is private, and is member owned. If you get an opportunity to play here....don't pass. It will be of your best golf experiences. Y
