The courses at OCN have always been of good quality in my opinion. A major factor in that quality has been the conditions. Even in the heat of summer in Orlando, the turf at OCN would be very good to excellent. The driving range would also be in good shape.

In the past 8 weeks or so, things have deteriorated in this regard. The unknown for me about this though is that Central Florida is considerably down on rainfall for the year to date. What worries me is that OCN has not been as effected by shortages of rain in the past. One other possible explanation for the conditions is that Panther Lake has been closed for aeration. Maybe this has put undue strain on Crooked Cat.

The driving range is in pretty rough shape with it being difficult to find very many good patches of grass. On the course, the greens are still good, but I found far too many bare dirt areas in the fairways and tee boxes.

In summary, I really hope that this current situation with course conditions is temporary. I have counted on OCN to provide a quality golf experience in the past and hopefully in the future.

The conditions of the course were excellent and the staff were as well. The downside for me is that many holes are dead straight and similar. Given the constraints of the property, they have done really well with the design. Definitely recommended when visiting Orlando.

Have played this course several times over the past couple of years. It has always been in good condition, even during the summer heat in Florida. It is a nice mix of some challenging, some easier holes, and some quite scenic holes. It also has a touch of elevation here and there, so not completely flat like some older style Florida layouts. Being a private course, the pace of play has been very good whenever I have been there.
