Tee boxes, fairways and greens in excellent shape. Traps are terrible.

I’ve been playing Sammons for decades. PLEASE get the Florida sinkholes repaired.

Tea boxes and greens were excellent. Fairways were excellent. Need some D weeding in the roof

Greens succumbed to the winter freeze. Probably each green is 80% very playable. Bad spots are being repaired. Lighthouse is still my favorite of the 14 courses we play in Central Texas.

There was little or no grass in the fairways; like playing on hardpan the whole round. The fairways have sinkholes on several holes. The tee boxes are in terrible shape. However, the greens are near perfect..

I have been playing this course for years. I have been playing golf for 45 years. .This may not be the best course in Texas but it’s goit to be the one of the top three. The fairways and tea boxes are excellent and the greens are beyond description. They were probably running at a 12 or more which made it really fun.
We drive 110 miles to play Delaware Springs but it is totally worth it.

Excellent. Extremely crowded but pace of play was good.

I have been playing this course since 1978. I live one and a half hours away, I still drive down to play as much as I can. The course is in near perfect condition. However, some weeds are starting to grow on the tee boxes. More variety of holes of any course I play.

Pro shop and restaurant staff were extremely friendly. Course in excellent shape

We drive 87 miles to play because of the layout, challenge and beauty of the course. What a shame. The last time we played nothing was mowed; tees, fairways or greens. That was after several days of rain so we thought it was justified. This time the tees were not mowed, part of the fairways were mowed, and the greens were so slow you could not get a 25 foot putt to the hole. No weed control anywhere, crabgrass terrible on the front nine and somewhat better on the back nine. Dead spots on both the fairways and greens.
We play 15 or so courses in Central Texas and while this is one my favorite courses, it will be a long time before we are back.

I have never lived in the Kingsland area but I have been playing this course since 1976. It was OK before the course was redesigned several years ago and now it is magnificent.

Very fun course. Beautiful views. Best draining course in the area. Cove can be played when others are under water. Fairways are perfect. Greens should recover from winter freeze.
Bad news....... the rough is being overtaken with weeds that will take over the entire course if not corrected

Green and tee boxes very good. Fairways have bare spots and no signs of correcting. Huge weeds in fairways and roughs and no signs of correcting.

Put flags back in so you can play golf again for real. Teebox you still need help but otherwise course in great shape

I have been playing course for 41 years. After the course redesign a few years ago it went from being an OK course to a glorious course. Concrete or asphalt Cart paths would be nice but not necessary with granite soil. I got a kick out of the person that gave it a one star rating because of lack of amenities although he said it was a great course. I guess if they change the name to lighthouse golf course instead of country club he would rate it five stars. We have to drive 81 miles to play the course so we don’t get to play it as often as we would like. If he is however well worth the drive.

Teeboxs still need help. Greens good, fairways great. I cannot believe they are edging the cart paths

Improvements: A year ago the greens were unplayable, The fairways for marginal and the tea boxes were horrible. Reconstruction of the grains make them wonderful and the fairways are much improved. Tee boxes still need some help
