There is no excuse for 4:45 golf when there are holes with no one on them and no "player assistant" to be found. Management needs a refresher course.

When Management closes this public golf course for private events they flip the bird at the hundreds of loyal, year-round golfers who, day-to-day, form the backbone of this course. So, right back at ya.

I should not have time to write this review while on the course. But 3-1/2 hours to play 13 holes makes it easy. “Player Assistant” said “I don’t know what to do.” Management is destroying what used to be a great course.

Horrible pace of play. Problem is the just don’t care.

This used to be a great course. Now, most fairways have spots that are unplayable, there are yellow (chemical?) streaks on almost every green, cart paths have pot holes, golf carts leak and brakes do not hold. Under these circumstances it seems unfair that seasonal rates are approaching $100 a round. And. the course is imposing a surcharge on players who are trying to avoid Covid-19 by riding alone?

This “used to be great” course could easily regain its stature as a premiere municipal course in Florida if only management cared as much about the player experience as it does about jamming the course with as many players as possible. We waited on EVERY hole for 18 holes. Player “Assistants” ride around, wave and admit they are prohibited from enforcing pace of play. Sorry to report that this was A HORRIBLE GOLF EXPERIENCE.

The biggest knock against golf is five hour rounds. Given that, it is inconceivable that management refuses to enforce this once wonderful course's own 4:15 pace of play policy.

This course has been sold and will be closing soon. Apparently management just doesn't care any more. The pace of play is VERY SLOW.

I play this course often and am sorry to report that it is going terribly downhill. Walked off the course today after playing 13 holes in 3-1/2 hours. There is no excuse for 5 hour golf on a course that purports to have a 4-1/4 hour pace of play policy. Season has barely started! And there is no excuse for golf carts that aren’t sufficiently charged to complete a round. NEW MANAGEMENT IS DESPERATELY NEEDED AT THIS ONCE AWESOME COURSE.

This is a well-maintained municipal course and is in excellent condition. It is not well run. While there is a posted pace of play policy, management acknowledges that they don't enforce it. That made for a painfully slow round. Not the first time. At a time when golf is badmouthed for being an all-day event, this course is part of the problem.

Beautiful fairways. Challenging but fair layout. Greens a bit chewed up. Very slow play. Rangers told us they are instructed not to enforce pace of play.

Course conditions okay – fairways are hard with some bare spots and little cushion. Greens generally rolled true but slow. While overall playing time was good, pace of play was excruciating, with two or three groups waiting on every tee and down time before every shot.

Very slow pace of play. Management is content with 4 1/2 hour rounds and is not concerned with pace of play during the round. Very typical for three groups to be waiting on each tee. Course conditions have deteriorated. No longer for serious golfers.

Have played here several days a week since the course opened. Most reviews are well deserved - course is in great condition and is well maintained. But recent cutback of the brush has also cutback on much of the charm and challenge that distinguished Osprey from other public courses. Too bad.

Walked off on the 8th Tee because there were 14 people playing the hole. When I complained about the pace of play and that there were 14 people on the hole at once, the "player assistant" said "good - you can count." But aside from rude employees and exceedingly slow play, this is a well manicured nice public layout.

Nice layout, good course condition. One of the better 5 hour rounds in South Florida. Great for seniors - 10 minutes between every shot provides time to recover. What Player Assistants?
